I think the struggle with pressure is the symptom. Holding the ball too long is the root cause. You can't regularly hold the ball in the modern NFL. Defensive lines are too good, schemes are too clever. You have to have ways of getting the ball out of your hands quickly and Darnold struggles with that. He might have the old EJ Manuel "slow eyes".

I’m a big Yankees fan.  The only Yank players I did not like, and wanted off the team asap were Deion and ARod.  Deion celebrating in winning in lockerrroom, dumping water over Tim McCarver, because Tim said something that hurt Deions feelings.  McCarver said it right then to Deions face “Deion you are no man”.

it took a long time for Sean McVay to realise that to beat Kyle Shanahan you might need to run something other than his own playbook against him. It seems Kevin O'Connell is having the same issue against McVay. Did it look to you like the Rams knew what play was coming? Yea? Because they did. They are Sean McVay's plays.

Unrelated, but I saw Deion’s first MLB game.  I went to the Stadium specifically to watch the Mariners and a 19-year-old rookie named Ken Griffey Jr.  While scanning the pregame lineups on the scoreboard, I noticed that #18 was batting ninth for the Yankees and playing centerfield.  My first thought, no joke, was “Claudell Washington came out of retirement?”  I didn’t know who #18 was until Bob Sheppard announced the lineup and got to “Batting ninth-inth-inth…. Playing centerfield-ield-ield… Number eighteen-een-een… Deion-on-on… Sanders-ders-ders… Number eighteen-een-een.”  

 

The box score says Deion got his first MLB hit that day too.  It was a routine ground ball to the 2B’s left that Deion beat out by a mile.  

 

That was pretty cool.  But yes, he’s always been a douche.

Deion will talk all day, and tell you he is the greatest.  He was one dimensional CB, and did not tackle.  Every time he played Randy Moss, Deion would get mysterious Tummy ache, and hide from Moss.  Go away Deion
