I dunno.  Yes, Darnold was bad, but did he have answers for the Rams rush other than deep balls or screens (that LA was blowing up)?  He was starring in a remake of “Kill the Man with the Ball” back there.

 

I don’t know much about the Vikes other than that they had a strong run game all season and two very good receivers in Jefferson and Addison, but either Darnold didn’t have short quick answers (other than the screen game the Rams were blowing up)  or, he wasn’t taking those answers

In 1999, Jacksonville finished 14-2, won the division, and then lost the AFC Championship Game. All three, and the only three, losses were to division rival Tennessee. 👀
