Yep, they decided it was either draft B. Chubb or trade the pick to the Bills. They never considered drafting a 1st round QB that year because Case was their QB.

Madden was one of my all time favorite people in football. When he passed away it hit me harder than I thought it would. 

 

Listening to him and Al calling MNF and SNF games was magic. I still love watching clips of those old games on YouTube.

 

In that All Madden documentary they talked about how they tried for years to get Madden to do a one off Thanksgiving game or SNF game but he resisted. 

 

That would have been so cool to see...
