2018 was a great draft for QBs.  Five QBs were taken first round.  This season four of them led their teams to the playoffs, even if two of them are on different teams then the ones that drafted them.  That's a remarkable feat.

Then there's Josh Rosen who, unless I'm mistaken, isn't even in the league anymore.  He's the odd one out.

I find this interesting, as I remember a lot of fans referred to Josh Allen as "Wrong Josh", upset b/c the Bills could have taken Rosen.  Instead, the QB those fans wanted is the only one out of the five that isn't/wasn't in the playoffs.  And "Wrong Josh" is one of two MVP candidates.

Just goes to show that you never know how things are going to play out.

What is the point of this painfully obvious, old, self evident post?

amazing how the 2018 QB class has rebounded this year. Baker and Darnold were written off as busts two years ago.  Maybe someone should give Rosen a shot!

Hey Geno made a come back 🤔 . I  believe if he would have had better coaching he may have had a bit better of a chance but we will never know .

I recall some fans being upset during the Allen pick, but very briefly. Within a day or so everyone was sold based on his ridiculous Wyoming highlights. I was a Baker Mayfield guy. Allen definitely was my 2nd choice. I became very intrigued when he started shooting up draft boards even rumored to go #1 to the Browns. You just can’t deny that talent and it was well worth the gamble. Beane made the best draft pick in Franchise history , not just because it turned out to be Allen, but the wheeling & dealing to get him. Rarely do you get a break trading away the pick who became Pat Mahomes.

I wanted Darnold or Mayfield. I did NOT want Jackson because I saw him as a Tyrod Taylor type of QB, and I was through with that. I didn't want Josh Allen because of the completion percentage and everyone in the media bashing him. He just seemed like one of those endless projects. And yeah, I settled on Rosen because I figured Darnold and Mayfield would be gone, and the media really hyped him up.

It taught me a valuable lesson. Don't make opinions based on the takes of media talking heads.

Mel Kiper Jr is the only one I trusted after that. He's had misses, but he absolutely destroyed Todd McShay's Allen takes
