The risk is if you miss or Lamar with the RPO. It will be interesting to see how McDermott and Babich play this. It's key on D. maintain gaps no matter what. have defenders for lamar and for henry. try to play it so it doesent matter who carries the ball...then u just have to contend with the pass 1 Quote

The Chiefs with their 7 pt lead panicked them last year in the AFCCG. We can do the same. was talking about the chiefs game where they abandoned the run last season, I don’t think they will do that at all this year. They will likely live and die by the run game with Henry and Jackson. Which likely makes this game even tougher for the Bills. Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I'd play 4-3 every time their full back Ricard is on the field. Taron goes to the bench unfortunately for those plays. At this point Hamlin is not getting benched. I'd rather Bishop start but it's not going to happen. 1 Quote

I don't understand the Cole Bishop truthers. Every time he's been on the field this year he's made multiple big mistakes. I get that you might prefer more sizzle from the position than we get from Hamlin, especially after years of being spoiled by Hyde's excellence, but you can't just replace him for the sake of replacing him. The replacement has to be a better player. Hamlin is unspectacular and can get beaten 1v1 by athletic mismatches but he doesn't make those fundamental mistakes. 3 Quote

They were pretty much all on the 2nd and 3rd Baltimore drives. Both of which they marched down the field and scored touchdowns. Here's the site I refer to for snap counts for those who might want to bookmark it: https://www.footballguys.com/stats/snap-counts/teams?team=BUF&year=2024 In week 4, there were 57 total defensive snaps. Re the linebackers: Morrow: 16 snaps (28%) Spector: 55 snaps (96%) Williams: 49 snaps (86%) Andreesen 3 snaps (5%) On 1/13/2025 at 1:02 PM, colin said: A missed FG really sunk the team not to mention that insane trick play. baltimore kicked our butts and was much better that game, but the reality is that the bills real failing was on O. not running cook, awful trick play, and a few just horrible situations where it was a doomed drop back situation did us in. Besides the disastrous trick play and missed field goal, I seem to remember a drive-killing dropped pass that felt pivotal at the time. On 1/13/2025 at 5:35 PM, djp14150 said: 3 actual LBs? Kelly to Allen Posted January 15 Posted January 15 I think you'll see 3 linebacker sets on run downs and then once we get a big lead a lot more nickel. Von Miller vs a rookie in rosengarten in passing situations is a joke lol. Again the ravens being favored makes zero sense to me. Quote

Even more startling is the change from the 2020 Bills who passed 61.7% of the time. Control the line of scrimmage, run the ball, get the lead, frustrate Lamar. And how many fans have been critical of McDermott over the years for wanting a better run game? When we finally achieve what he wanted, the offense is awesome and multidimensional. Go figure. He was right. The answer to better offense is taking the ball out of Allen's hands a little more. Quote

Sell out to stop the run, even if it means 8 men in the box. We can’t let them dictate the time of possession and keep our defense on the field all day. If this allows the Ravens to get some big plays and quick scores, so be it. That’s better than long, draining drives where they still get a TD. See how Lamar and his team do throwing in 10 degree weather. 2 Quote

I’m thinking we play around 25-30% but I hope it’s more. I think it’ll be the key to winning or losing I'm guessing 25 - 40%. If I had to get more specific, 30 - 33%. Hard to predict, though. If our offense plays good, maybe less. 1 Quote
SunDSolar Posted Thursday at 02:09 PM Posted Thursday at 02:09 PM I'm hoping 8% because the Bills get up 14-0 to start this game. Then they can run all they want and waste the clock Quote
SunDSolar Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Looks like the Bills went 4-3 base everytime Richard was on the field 1 1 2 Quote
HappyDays Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago So, much more frequently that I expected. They made it a point to shut down the run and trusted that Lamar would make a couple mistakes if the game was put on his shoulders. That's the gameplan most of us wanted and it worked. 3 4 Quote

It was interesting because they were in a 4-3 but they walked Dorian up onto the line of scrimmage to chuck the Tight Ends and take on the FB/pullers at the line. Something we ran in HS for Power I and Wishbone teams back in the day Quote

Limits the ability to double guys and get more 1v1 matchups across the LoS keeping the LBs cleaner. I haven’t seen any of the film, but I’d be curious to watch it back to see how it all unfolded when slowed down. Quote

Belichick always hit Kelce at the line and it disrupted their timing. I'm glad it seemed to work so well and they continue the strategy. Quote

OT, but another thing I find interesting is that even though I thought Von was good against the run all season and they were saving him for PO, he only played 29% of snaps. Groot also played less than usual. Smoot played a lot. 1 Quote
