I know what you’re saying but his total TDs skyrocketed the one year he has Henry. I’m not understanding how you’re saying his stats haven’t dramatically increased since that addition. Where’s the 18th game coming in? Those stats are for the 17 game regular season.

im not saying anything against Josh for Lamar. Or vice versa. Merely pointing out what I said above.

If you’re all about stats then looking at his for the last years there’s a significant increase. Whether you want to label that as total TDs or not is irrelevant. The point wasn’t how they came about but that they are there.

I misspoke with the 18 vs 17 games. It should be one less for each. Week 18 was the 17th game.

And yes, his pass stats skyrocketed this year with Henry. Because teams can no longer focus on him as he isn't the only threat. Speaks more to Henry's value IMO.

Oh absolutely, but it's because they do both well and they have a great (and huge) offensive line. Henry does add a ton to that offense he's just an absolute beast up there and he's great because you don't really need a complicated blocking scheme or run game to make it work. You just tell Henry to run hard and fast where he sees space to do so and the rest just kinda works itself out.

There's also been a huge defensive tendency to emphasize defending the pass, lots of brain and draft capital has been focused there with run game defense being of secondary importance. No surprise that we have two runners this year at 1.9k and 2.0k respectively in either conference.

With the Bills missing 3 defensive starters all game and a 4th after the 1st Q

Also hoping Phillips, Jefferson, and maybe an Eli Ankou call up can give better run stuff than Dewayne Carter playing half the game.

I agree with that title of the post, but not about Allen not winning MVP.  He’s gonna win it.  -470 odds at time of vote is rarely wrong.  The voters just saw a chance to split their vote and throw Jackson a bone with first team all Pro, Josh the MVP, and give Barkley the OPOY.

OK, thanks...I had thought the winner was announced before the actual award was given...

In his podcast last night, Chris Simms, who is an MVP voter, said Lamar is going to win it, since Lamar was voted first team All-Pro.

Historically, that has not been what happened.  Historically, 1st team All-Pro wins MVP

It has happened otherwise a couple of times, last time was I think 13 years ago

If there’s any year to split those two awards it’s this one but historically he isn’t wrong.  I could see it splitting

Phillips has been terrible against the run his entire career.

Fair.  I did hesitate putting him there.  But carter has also not been great which was the point.  Really hoping for an Ankou call up cause i think hes the best run defender along the iDL.  inserting him for our weakest last game would be pretty impactful imo.

We'll see how injuries affect the practice squad call ups. That's usually the determining factor. That and the positions you are light at, which would not be DT.

I'd cut Jefferson and add Ankou to the 53 if it was me. But, the Bills are clear that they do not see Ankou as a rosterable player, for whatever reason. Maybe they are right. Sometimes, we get enamored with players we see very little of, then when they get a chance to play more they suck.

Baltimore is a bit overhyped and overrated if you ask me

They haven't beaten anyone of note lately sans a Texans team that had been uninspiring up until Saturday

Their defense has been the main driver of their wins and has made things easy for Lamar and Henry, but again...they have beaten on Pit twice, NYG, and CLE. These are all inept teams on at least one side if not both sides of the ball.

I'm not sure how they're gonna fare against a team that's going to put up points and put pressure on Jackson to make some big throws...let alone on the road in tough weather conditions. I know the narrative is that Lamar has taken the leap he has needed to as a passer, but alot of what I've seen is guys being more open than maybe any other team in the league. I'm not convinced that he can dissect a defense and outduel top teams...especially given his previous playoff woes where he struggled mightily as a passer.

Slow Henry and keep the pressure on Lamar by putting points up and chewing up clock on their defense and I think we see a very different version of LJ

Starting to get much more confident as well. I think the players are quite aware of the narrative around Lamar and Ravens right now and that's all the fuel needed for a victory, especially with the early season shellacking keeping them laser focused.

For sure they are not light on DT numbers which is why the signing to the PS was interesting (otherwise Ankou to PS is dog bites man type story).  I think Jefferson has more upside as a pass rusher which is why they keep him on the active roster over Ankou (i would actually drop Phillips first).  However in this game i would inactive Carter and one of Phillips or Jefferson.  That will keep 5 DL with a jersey.  I expect the other call up will likely be Frank Gore Jr for Davis (though i expect few to no carries for him).  Since we got out of the game relatively healthy I'm hoping we can use the PS to be matchup specific

You can watch Good Morning Football or any of the other sport networks  all you want but there is one subject you won't find there.

Josh Allen will shortly be snubbed in MVP voting for Lamar Jackson, the fans know it and so do the Buffalo Bills players. It's another voters rip off which Buffalo fans have become accustomed to.  One 2nd string All Pro player for a team that won the division on Thanksgiving weekend ??

This will be a team playing for Josh Allen, snubbed Buffalo players and the City of Buffalo.

AMAZING THINGS WILL HAPPEN.

Now, go clean your room, it smells up there.

 Bills 34

Ravens 27

I feel like we are seeing a perfect storm of the Bills holding a major mental edge coming into the game.  Much like the anger-fuel the Bengals lather themselves up with the beat the much-more-loved Bills all the time.  The Bills will be boring publicly to the media, but I would bet, in that building, they have never been as motivated to win a game.  I think the crowd is going to feel it too and everyone is going to feed off each other.

There was that 35-10 embarrassment early in the year.  You have a ton of pro bowlers from Baltimore, not many on the Bills.  AP the same way.  Allen got snubbed for the All Pro 1st team and is about to be snubbed for MVP.  The players will rally to Allen's cause.  The entirety of the media is fawning over the Ravens and 95% of picks I see are for the Ravens to win the Superbowl (forget the Bills game, we are past that already).  Also, listening to Lamar's post game comments Saturday, it sure looks like he isn't very humble and liking the smell of his own farts.

I'm not a homer, I was pretty white knuckle all week about the Broncos and their head coach and defense.  I have a good feeling about this game.  Like punch them in the nose and shock the football world kind of thing.

And Ill also say, the Bills win this game, they are going to hoist the Lombardi
