It could be the Chargers and Broncos become factors, but I really see them more like Miami and NE from a couple of years ago.

The Chargers and Dolphins seem nearly a match with the ability to look great, but man do they find ways to lose big games.  It has been multiple coaches and rosters, but I just think Herbert does not have enough to lead his team to big wins.

The Broncos remind me of Mac Jones rookie NE team - where everyone thought he was going to become elite and then teams got a handle on him and it was gone.  I think perhaps Bo has a chance to continue, but I would not be the least bit surprised to see them move back a few steps.

I could be wrong, but I still feel they have a long way to go have significant impact.

Chargers and Broncos will have tougher schedules next year due to their success this season. That often leads to the downfall of rising teams and brings them back to reality.

The Bengals have a lot to fix. Their o-line and defense, outside of Hendrickson, sucks. They also have huge contracts coming up with Chase, Higgins, and Hendrickson. They can't pay all three and their owner is cheap as hell.

If you were starting a franchise, would you want Burrow or Stroud?

That's all it comes down to for me and my choice is Burrow by a longshot. Texans have more young talent, but Bengals will figure it out.

Look what the Bills are doing with Allen and a somewhat average roster around him.

I think Denver is a problem if Nix matches/exceeds his rookie year.  They have the runway of his rookie deal to enjoy the spoils.  They have a 3rd place schedule next year and NFCE and AFCS

Houston will depend on Stroud.  He regressed a lot this year.  They did have a lot of injuries too.  The have the 1st place schedule and AFCW and NFCW.  There won't be any hiding.

Its tough to say Chargers because Saturday's game.  You have to think Harbough will get them into position to at least challenge for the AFCCG in the coming years.

We have to see how the Bengals navigate this offseason.

KC isnt going anywhere with Reid and Mahomes

Baltimore isnt going anywhere with Harbough and their athletic QB.

Buffalo isnt going anywhere with Allen and McDermott

The Steelers are in their own low-ceiling, high floor category

Then you have a pile of the Patriots, Raiders, Titans, Jaguars, Browns, Jets, Colts, and Dolphins who are just hoping.  Dolphins and Jets trending down for now, Patriots trending up possibly on their way to respectability.  Still a long way to jump into the Big 3, or immediate 3-4 challengers

To me, it feels like the Big 3.

Texans limped into the playoffs and Stroud wasn't particularly good this year.

If we're going off of "potential" and track record, I might even put the Bengals ahead of the Texans after they fix their defense this offseason.

Mother F the big 3, it's just big B!

Their problem is the owner. It's not Burrow.

Texans are not good on O...D is legit at times...they are not a serious contender

Not sure I agree. Texans have a legit defense, and defense still wins championships. Injuries have hurt them this year, but they have enough offense to pull out a playoff game or two if their defense comes to play, as they did against the Chargers.

As for the Broncos, I think their defense was not as great as everyone thought, based on their competition during the regular season. Plus their offense is nowhere near the Texans.

If I was starting a franchise the last owner I’d want running the show is Mike Brown. Unless they luck into a couple more fantastic drafts they’re screwed because ownership refuses to pony up the cash necessary to compete with the big boys.

Against middling teams, sure. Against teams like KC or Baltimore, or even us at this point, no way.

We played about as bad a game as we could play against them and they still needed a last second 59 yard FG to win at home.

This is nitpicky as burrow is obviously great but to me he doesn’t seem to have the same ability to elevate poor oline play as some other guys…that’s usually their issue early in the year.  I don’t see him as as much of a one man army as somebody more mobile would be.  If the bengals lose some pieces I think he could take a pretty big dip in effectiveness.

strouds not super mobile either so that was mostly in response to the ‘look at what the bills are doing’ part lol
