PonyBoy Posted Saturday at 12:59 PM Posted Saturday at 12:59 PM Well... being that I didn't need it for the Dolphin games this year, I will be having baked Pacific Cod, some Yukon gold smashed potatoes with olive oil drizzle and Broccoli, sliced, not chopped! 1 1 Quote

Sweats Posted Saturday at 02:26 PM Posted Saturday at 02:26 PM I actually even forgot it was my birthday this weekend (yes, that's how much this game is screwing me up) however, it looks like my favorite pizza is in order for this grand event (the game, not my birthday cause honestly, like who gives a **** about that when the Bills are going to throttle the Ravens). 3 1 Quote
muppy Posted Saturday at 03:49 PM Posted Saturday at 03:49 PM (edited) I am thinking brunch. A variety of stuff. a grazing table if you will I'll make a main dish breakfast type egg casserole today and put it in the fridge until tomorrow. Serve it with some fruit. on the side in the morning I'll put some spring rolls from Costco in the air fryer with a Thai peanut sauce on the side later I'm liking as a snack a honey goat cheese with crisps crackers too easy not a lot of fuss low stress menu for a day of STRESS EATING lol Edited Saturday at 03:56 PM by muppy 3 Quote

Victory Monday Morning will be truly atmospheric changing. Please stay away from any open flames until further notice after consuming the above all together. OLAY!!! HIT BY SPIKES Posted Saturday at 06:15 PM Author Posted Saturday at 06:15 PM He complained about too many gherkins/pickles in the egg salad but it could have too many onions. Too many onions will ruin the egg salad or pasta sauce.... Quote

If they are very large wings, I would say 30 minutes. 5 hours ago, EmotionallyUnstable said: We’ve been doing 14 minutes with a flip at half time How do you guys go about doing that before they’re in? Ive done it a few times with just avocado oil and seasoning and another try with some breading. Neither was on par with fried ones imo. I do love using the air fryer as it’s a healthier alternative to frying the food. Would love any tips, and no not the wing kind lol 1 Quote

It is difficult to match the traditional flavour of deep frying them. However, when you are not frying them and air frying them, it is easier to marinate them in the fridge for a day or two. Deep frying tends to require a dry wing and the spices tend to just dirty the oil up. Grilling them on the BBQ or air frying them keeps the spice and marinate engaged. 1 Quote

Would love any tips, and no not the wing kind lol My one suggestion for the air frier would be to pat them down dry before any dry rub application. The seasoning is my wife’s department. But getting out a little of the extra water on the skin with a minor squeeze with a paper towel gets a crispier finish IMO. 1 hour ago, HIT BY SPIKES said: I have brushed them with olive oil before putting them in the air fryer oven and they are very good. Guilty secret: I like the air fried wings just as good as deep fried. The only issue is the volume of wings you can cook, so for us it’s usually an appetizer or just a side of a meal. 1 Quote

Yeah, I’ve always actually just fried wings with no seasoning, just a marinade. Fried them after patting dry then either dry or wet seasoning after. Always turned out great. The air fryer has been ok but like you said the flavor isn’t matching the fried ones sadly, even being marinated overnight. Hard to explain. Im a fan of smoking them but no one else in the household is lol. Waste of my time to make one or two dozen wings that way if it’s only me. The breaded air fried wings were not it. At all. 1 Quote
