I agree that's a big ex factor hence I referenced Allen's polish and Knox polish being a nig difference l, that goes for mclap too and babich as well as brady

I post once or twice a year so I'm pretty verbose lol always a long read but worth it šŸ‘Œ šŸ¤·Ā

He's more experienced and seems to have a bit more swagger I think it'll help also oc and dc seem to be good

At least 14

That's a big deal for sure, but health with a crappies roster doesn't move the needle much, healthy with sound depth and better starters does for me

obviously but if dissecting the WR crew did we have guys limping around in 13 seconds?Ā
Ā

it feels like Josh is in about the best shape heā€™s been in this late in the seasonĀ

HC then, HC now....

Yeah I would probably buy that as a roster we're more balanced and built for this...but our biggest problem still remains. It's possible it can be overcome but it's obviously still there.Ā

Why does every post that claims to explain why weā€™re good end up being just a list of playersā€™ names? We can all name the roster. We have one every year.Ā

Because it is hard to write a qualitative article as it takes time/effort which we don't have for a message board.Ā  Go Bills !!!

Yes I do this isn't just about Josh Allen it's about the team as a whole this whole Supporting cast on offense is heads and shoulders above what it was in our previous playoffs years

You called him ā€œturnover guyā€

I agree with most of this but NOT at safety. Ā In 2021, Hyde and Poyer were far from washed. Ā In fact, Hydeā€™s interception in the New England playoff game was one of the greatest Bills defensive plays of all time.

I agree, the Bills are better now than the 13 seconds version. And I do think the Chiefs have taken a step back. But, unfortunately, the Ravens are a lot better than they were back then. I think, as a unit, they are better than KC were even then - especially as the Bills were/are built to neuter KC. The same cannot be said for Baltimore.

Ā

That's not to say the Bills can't beat the Ravens, but it's a game where nothing would be a surprise. The Bills could blow the Ravens out. The Ravens could blow the Bills out. Or it could come down to the final second.

I remember thinking we win that game if T. White was out there instead of Levi Wallace on that final series.Ā  It's nice to be fully healthy if we're going to go through the Ravens and Chiefs.

The D Line still has not improved, sadly, since 2021. Ā  It is crazy to think they never really fixed it.

Ā

That worries me. Ā It is an essential part for a team to get sacks and pressures routinely in the playoffs and win the Superbowl.Ā
Ā

Even it the Bills got past 13 seconds, not sure they would have made it to the next step. Ā Burrow and then Stafford would have had all day.

This just in- IMO We will storm our way to the superbowl and we will roll every team in our way!!! Why you ask am I so confident?? It's because of this current Bills Squads young talent that replaced our aged out vets being faster and stronger as well as more skilled. Hear me out....

Ā

Skill players on offense now vs then-

Ā

Now wr's-Cooper/Coleman/hollins/Shakir/samuel

Everyone eats mode

Ā

Then wr's- me me Diggs/drops Davis/smokey john brown/hurting limping BeasleyĀ

**Clearly better Now

Ā

Now rb's- All pro level Talent Jimbo Cooks,The Hammer Davis, TD catching Ty Johnson

Ā

Then rb's- Singletary who was Mr average and a fumbler and I can't remember who else

**Clearly better Now

Ā

Tight end Now- Kincaid andĀ  best version Knox a law firm you can trust!!

Ā

Tight end then- Knox without his veteran polish and thats basically it.

**Clearly better nowĀ

Ā

O-line now- Bills Best version in the last 20 or more years!!

Ā

O-line then-Some serious weak links at gaurd vs now and hurt Spencer Brown

**Clearly better Now

Ā

Qb then- JA17 who was pressing too much and not playing as smart as he does now(still prolific)

Ā

Qb now-JA17 best version yet, not a turnover guy any longer, can kill you with death by a thousand cuts or a mean deep ball.Ā

**Clearly better now

Ā

I'm out of time folks but the defense is also Clearly upgraded across all levels imo as well, DL no question, lb not even close, corner for certain, safety probably a wash( I love po and Hyde but they were nearly washed in 21 and got worse year over year, were too slow).Ā

Ā

Don't stress this team is different and the coaching staff is better especially on offense as we now have balance. We couldn't run effectively back then either and now we're dangerous running the ball. We clearly improved a ton vs then and I'd argue KC got worse and Baltimore is slightly better than they were in 21.Ā

Get your wings and bourbon ready!!!Ā  LFG BILLS!!TIME FOR A REVENGE TOUR BABY!!

Yea Diggs was worn out and hampered, Beasley was a shell of himself could make a catch and then rake a step or 2 and fall down and defense was hurting tooĀ

You really don't think it's better now than then?? I like our group I think they're good enough....Rousseau is knocking on the door of being elite imo next year he will be, epenesa is above average and has room to improve too, Von teaching them both is big, von is back to being elite/von imo he's fast as he has been before Injury and almost as powerful I think he's like a Jerry Hughes level guy rn imo....impressive for his age....we really need a top tier dt/ daquans replacement if we draft a top dt 1tech I think you see Oliver, epenesa and Rousseau look well above average...

Absolutely doc we are in good shape this time I think, our corners are really good and big physical guys at that with enough speed, just hope the back end can hold up well enough....my only reservation about the whole team is hamlin and he's been solid(ish), looming forward to the safety we drafted bishop getting on the field next year he's got upside and is above average at least

Did someone bring up 13 seconds again?

Ā

Ā

Several factors contributed to the loss

1) 13 seconds

2) they had all three time outs left

3) they had Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill

4) some Bills players and coaches were already celebrating on the sidelines like the game was over

5) they only needed a FG to tie and go to OT.Ā

Ā

6. They didn't squib kick

7. They didn't purposely take a holding call on defense wasting some precious secondsĀ

Ā

Also OP said faster I think the safeties are slower

Besides core players having more experience in those situations, I think the Bills 2024 coordinators adjust faster and more effectively than coordinators in previous seasons.

Ā

I'd also like to think that stupid hail mary that Aaron Rodgers completed in the first Bills/Jets game this year was instructive on what not to do.

He is confusing two seasons - 2020 and 2021 at receiver. John Brown was not on the team for 13 seconds. He was released at the end of the 2020 season and replaced by Emmanuel Sanders. Diggs was healthy in 2021 he was banged up and not moving smoothly in the AFCCG in at the end of 2020 season.Ā

The Offense was not the problem....they scored 36 points.Ā  Josh threw for 329 yards and 4 TDs.Ā  Davis had 201 yards and 4 TDs.Ā  Beasely went 6 for 8 for 60 yards.

Ā

This was a Defensive/coaching collapse--why focus on the Offense?Ā  Still with same HC and 2 DC's later...
