Wild nervous tick before that kick

One more yard back and he misses that

Instead of running for a couple of yards, Washington decided to kneel down for a loss of 3.  Had it been a loss of 4, he misses that kick.  It’s insane just how terrible NFL coaches are at basic strategy.  Maybe they’re so focused on advanced metrics that they don’t even understand common sense.

I think the Commanders have a legit chance at beating the Lions next week. I also think if the Vikings win they have a legit shot at the Eagles

The Lions are going to kill Washington…absolutely slaughter them.

I wondered if that was more of a rookie mistake by Daniels.

When they ran the prior play and took a knee to set the kick up on the left hashmark and lost about 4 yards doing so I thought to myself, those few yards could make a difference.  And it almost did.

I agree with about the Commanders, but I’ve already given up on the Vikings after watching Darnold play last week. I think he turned into a pumpkin, and seems to have the yips right now.

I think it was the old “pick your hash mark” play.  They could have run two QB sneaks and been 8 yards closer.  It’s unfathomable to me that you can have a quarter billion dollar payroll and choose to risk your entire season with the 11 lowest players on your roster.

Depends on who you ask

I'd ask the kicker.  But I'd make sure not to have any metal on me...

Common sense is the coach should expect his kicker to be far closer to the middle on a kick from that distance.

He was definitely getting it where the K wanted it.

Quinn strikes me as a pretty good coach; Id guess he'll talk to him about not going backwards next time.
