Milano has been a GREAT spy against Lamar in the past. He'll need to do that again.

Still, the best D against the Ravens O, is the Bills again controlling the clock with long drives and running game, as they did against the Broncos.

Does anyone have stats of Derrick Henry vs a Sean McDermott defense?

Also, control the clock and keep the other offense off the field. It does wonders for a suspect defense.

Henry has basically got one big run every time for a score and that was selling out to stop only him bc nobody respected the QB,  it’s a lot harder with Jackson back there.  They MUST control Henry, he’s going to get some, but you can’t allow a long TD run, make them earn yards in the air and you can’t allow win.  If they can’t stop the run, it’s over.

Could be wishful thinking but I get the vibe that the bills defense accidentally hid a lot by being really cautious with injuries/keeping guys healthy for the playoffs.

The rams torched a healthy lineup but Milano was so rusty in that one…I think he would’ve gotten benched for Williams if that was a playoff scenario. Think he was only in there to get him up to speed for this very game

As far as the defense goes, I'd hope we are NOT pinning our hope on one guy, even a guy like Milano, like he's going to wash all the sins we saw in regular season away. There are a number of issues, from D-Line to Safeties. Everyone, I do mean everyone, including Babich, needs to step up and do better.

Milano should get the benefit of the doubt imo he only had a couple games under his belt since his previous season ending injury before suffering another long term injury.  Looking good in that broncos game is a very very good sign…I think mcd was giving him a ton of snaps despite being a downgrade from Williams for awhile so he’d be ready to spy Lamar in the playoffs tbh

Dorian Williams would be an awesome Lamar spy too

Specifically for the Ravens, I mean in the past they have accentuated Lamar's running ability and gradually developing his passing game. Lamar himself may have tried to hard to try passing instead of maximize his running game a few years ago. This year the new OC seems to incorporate more scheme into the offense, centered around the new weapon of Darrick Henry.

Like some have pointed out, the Ravens O-Line is good but not great. I think the scheme has got them to where they are in addition to the talent of Henry. This is where Babich comes in. He's known for developing D players in where their eyes need to be, how to diagnose plays quickly. We really need more players know where to find keys of Ravens scheme next Sunday. Of course it helps to have player like Milano who has great instincts. But to elevate the level the other 10 to make less mental mistakes is his job.
