They always make the excuse "you beat Tyler Huntley, not Lamar!" despite Lamar playing 3 quarters & throwing the game losing pick 6. They also say it's before Lamar had help. You know, moving the goalposts as usual..

 

But us beating Lamar once 4 years ago isn't the issue, it's the fact that we could go 3 straight seasons losing at home in the divisional round to Burrow, Mahomes & Lamar which would make the media relentless in criticizing the Bills & Allen. 

 

Josh already doesn't get credit 4 years ago, so imagine how they'll react if the Bills lose 2 x to Lamar in the same season. It'll be insufferable.

Yeah, exactly. And you could see them pat each other afterwards. Josh patted the ref's waist )like, "Message received...we're good". It was not adversarial, more like the ref giving him a courtesy warning out of respect rather than a flag. I had no issue with it.

Josh in the post-game presser said he was worried about his throw.

He did say Ray is OK.

It's so crazy how the worst Allen throws are the ones with players running wide open with nobody around them.

 

Gotten 2 players injured on them this year.

It was a hot read off a blitz and he had to get it up over the End.

It just sailed on him a little bit.

After what took place today, it’s just dumb for anyone on the board to flex that “yeah we would’ve killed the Bengals, blah blah.” Nobody in their right mind would say the Bills would’ve held them to 7 points.  I’d like us to win for sure, always did.  But gimme a rookie QB over those other guys any day.

I thought it showed a bunch of respect from Vinovich, not trying to apologize for the call but trying to make sure that he didn't have to pick up a flag from his crew with a whole lot of explanation,

Is it matchups or did we just have a bad night?  I remember the Bills getting smoked on MNF back in 1991 by the Chiefs at Arrowhead.  Playoffs in Buffalo we crushed them…up 24-0 at one point.

 

The Ravens are playing awesome right now.  Can they beat us?  Sure.  But you make it sound like we have no shot, which is an absurd take.

This game is a coin flip in my mind- I am sure raven fans want no business playing the bills in orchard park

I have not seen a single person claim we’d hold the bengals to 7 points lol. They likely would’ve scored a lot more and given up more.  I just don’t think the bengals are far better of a football team overall than the broncos like you were insinuating but their strengths are in different places.  Y’all are afraid of the 2022 bengals still and applying it to the 2024 bengals.

With 3:07 left in the third quarter, the score was 13-7. So with a single play, the Broncos could tie the game, with just an extra point away from the lead.

 

At 3:06 Josh makes a great throw and Ty Johnson makes a ridiculous, highly unlikely catch on 4th down to really take control of the game. For almost 42 minutes, this was a one score game.

 

And this was at home against a 7 seed Broncos team that barely made the playoffs, with a rookie QB that went on the road to Buffalo. It's not like this was Baltimore.

 

I get it, this is a Bills board and people want to be optimistic, but there's room for opinions other than just being a cheerleader. I see the things that need to be cleaned up in order to get a championship, something that I guarantee the team is also doing.

 

I think many if not most blow-out games in the NFL are similar to this game:  the underdog/lesser team hangs around for the first half or into the third quarter, but eventually the better team exerts its superiority.   Just going by the score ignores the fact that the Bills used three long drives to get those 13 points while largely holding the Broncos in check after their first drive TD.

The Ravens may be a bad match up for the Bills but the Bills are a bad matchup for the Ravens as well.   The Ravens finished the season with 4 straight blow out wins against the Giants, the Stealers, the Texans, and the Browns.   The Giants and Browns are both drafting in the top five. and the Steelers and Texans limped into the playoffs, playing poorly on both sides of the ball but especially on offense.   The last time that the Ravens played a quality team that was playing well was when they lost to the Eagles, 24-19 on December 1.    The Eagles, like the Bills, have both a strong running and a strong passing game as well as an outstanding OL.  The Eagles have a better defense than the Bills but Jalen Hurts isn't nearly as dangerous as Josh Allen.

 

The Steelers team the Ravens beat yesterday has had issues scoring in the red zone all season, and they were terrible on defense as well.  They were a shadow of what they were earlier in the season.   The Bills were on their game today on both sides of the ball.  If the Bills bring their A game next week, the Ravens are in for a tough game.

It always sounds like “making excuses” but the fact is, a middle defense of Bernard, Milano and Johnson is a different level of play than Spector, Williams, and Lewis.

 

Hopefully everyone came out of the game OK and Cam Lewis is OK

The crazy disrespect the Bills were getting from people before the game was comical...

 

People picking the Broncos to win or the Bills being the greatest chance for an upset or the Bills having to scrape by...

 

Please.

 

Broncos kept it close on the scoreboard for a while due to some good red zone stops but the game was never close on the field and eventually the scoreboard reflected that in the most lopsided game of the weekend thus far.

It really is baffling how often he's off on his throws to wide open targets. It's almost like he has too much time to process and then over thinks it.

Yeah looks like Ray Davis might be iffy for this game but should be good to go for the AFC championship. I'm guessing Frank Gore Jr will be RB 3 if need be or maybe they sign a vet RB just in case but I think Ray Davis will be fine. There's a decent chance he plays vs Baltimore

Wasn’t ever worried, really.  But I can’t say I expected the D to pitch a shutout after that first series.

 

I did have a very small parlay on Kincaid and Knox TDs that I hedged with single bets that each would have repaid my (again, very small) investment.  So my lone moment of unhappiness came when Josh missed Knox on that first drive.   

 

Yeah it's a real disappointment. The worst thing this community does by far.
