Or, your favorite team could just earn the 1 seed.  This changing thing and lowering the standard bull#### needs to stop.  Complete nonsense.

No. The league changed it when they made the 2 seed play an extra game.   I’m just saying you should get more than 2 home games for being the 2nd best team in the conference.     And that’s. Maybe a decent compromise?   I guess not cause we need it to be as hard as possible to prove we deserve it?

I dont mind going back to a bye, but changing who the 1 seed plays?  No.  They were the top seed, they deserve the reward.

Unfortunately our defense playing McD’s bend don’t break nonsense will likely struggle to stop Lamar and Henry.

Again hope I’m wrong but we’re not built to stop B’more’s kind of scheme and talent.

I’m not worried about our offense generally, but if we get behind because we’re struggling to get stops, it’s over.  The run will need to be abandoned.  Once we’re forced to be one dimensional and throw all the time, start the bus.

Okay man.

Thanks.

Sorry it’s not the Dolphins and Snoop Huntley rolling in here next Sunday.

Josh became the best Rushing QB in NFL Playoff History today

After next week's game Josh will be second place again behind Lamar Jackson.

Interesting quote from Sean Payton after the game.

Those guys in the last year did a really good job focusing on their run game and incorporating it with the skill set that Josh (Allen) has,” Broncos coach Sean Payton said. “I was just surprised at the effectiveness of it.

This tells me he had no respect for the Bills and their staff.  This is why they stayed two deep and basically dared allen to throw the ball, just like last years game.

another interesting quote.

Cook is a super, super patient runner and they run these gap schemes, and they kept changing the gaps,” Locke said. “He was setting up his blocks and just being super patient. We have to be more disciplined keeping our gaps as they’re moving.

Allen makes more NFL history.

Now has the most passing TDs in the WildCard round in NFL history.

Kind of a weird stat because up until a few years ago, most of the better teams that would go to the playoffs year after year would get a bye as the #1 or #2 seed but since the NFL changed playoff formats, Allen has been forced to play in the WildCard round when he would have had a bye back in day for many of these seasons...

Still pretty impressive tho.

I’m not discounting today’s effort in the least.  I’m merely stating our next opponent isn’t a great matchup.  Next game up.  Sorry on to next week.  Maybe I should be in the B’more thread. That’s my bad.

It’s not that.  It’s that you don’t acknowledge the defense was missing about half its starters in the earlier game.

I would also ask the pundits and such when they will acknowledge that we pose a difficult matchup for them.

Getting a jump on them is so important that I would argue that, if we win the coin toss, we should elect to receive in an attempt to set the tone tight off the bat.

Feels like that's been tried before, like Week 4

After the Ravens loss they beat the Falcons Raiders Browns Colts and a KC playing 3rd string, they lost to KC Chargers and Cincy.  I’m not impressed.

The broncos offense has been pretty hot down the stretch and that was a great defensive performance today with Milano looking like he’s knocked the rust off.  It was a good sign for next week.  Milano was out last time along with a pretty long list of important defensive players

Spencer Brown is a dream.

As I predicted, mostly a no show for the Broncos pass rush.

And the crazy part is Allen wasn’t Superman to get away from sacks. He did some great pocket movement though. OL came to play.

I’m in Cancun (where I’ve gotten a good amount of “Go Bills” from people all day while wearing my Allen shirt and Bills hat, and I’ve had some rum and tequila, so I’ll do my best:

- O-line. Some games you can tell who will likely win by seeing who is controlling the line of scrimmage. Our OL absolutely dominated the line of scrimmage all game long. Elite stuff.

- James Cook. Silky smooth. Great vision and cutting ability, and he can get skinny with the best of ‘em. What an asset to have in order to take pressure off of Josh.

- Ty Johnson. Elite pass catching back and legitimate offensive weapon. Who saw that coming?

- Shakir. Human pinball.

- Curtis Samuel. Good for you, kid. Way to make a big play and break the game open. Keep it up!

- Is Milano back?

- HOF spin love by Von on that one play.

- Groot. Beast.

- Bills defense. Gave up one explosive play for 7. Other than that? Nada. Good team D.

- ST kicked away from Mims all day and didn’t allow him to impact the game on teams. Good stuff.

- Playoff Josh. A sight to behold. His .67 EPA was ridiculous today.

Only negatives: thought they leaned on the run just a liiiittle bit too much in the third quarter. Another fake punt conversion given up (though it didn’t result in anything).

Other than that, a nice performance all around, and a convincing win against an inferior opponent.

Go Bills!

Good for you man. Enjoy the sunshine ☀️

And Orlovsky said the Broncos weren’t a great matchup for the Bills. Look, the Ravens are a tough out for any team, but they weren’t unbeaten this year. This looks like one where it will be on Josh and the offense to win the game.  Defense will just have to limit the damage, they aren’t shutting the Raven’s offense down. Get the win any way you can and move on.

Bills took care of business against a good but far from elite Denver team. I was nervous about the matchup but despite the Bills spotting the Broncos 7 points they took back control of the game and eventually made it a blowout. Not much to complain about. Against the Ravens at home the Bills gotta come out with a win.

I guess I was in shock with the effectiveness of the run game.   Many pundits kept saying throughout the week that "the only place the Bills will find success will be throwing over the middle".   Well, the bodies up front started moving people (especially in the jumbo package) and there was no looking back.   Kudos to Kromer and Brady of not being afraid staying with our strength and just using it to our advantage.
