I know the Broncos just aren't all that great and don't have the best skill position talent on offense but if the defense plays like that we will be playing in February. 

 

Special teams needs to be better though 

 

But we won by 3 scores and Josh didn't have to be anything close to superman. That's encouraging

The Bills stepped on the gas and the Broncos had no answer.

 

Bills end up with 471 yards, 210 yards rushing, 26 first downs and went 8/15 on 3rd down with 41:43 TOP

 

Broncos end up with 224 yards, 79 rushing yards, 13 first downs and 2/9 on 3rd down with 18:17 TOP

 

This game was not really close except for the score at the end of the first half.

Outside a broken coverage on a pretty obvious passing down they might only have scored 3 and if not for a dumb Hollins penalty we probably add 4 

 

We doubled them up on TOP, first downs, yards, and ran 30more plays on offense

At 3:06 Josh makes a great throw and Ty Johnson makes a ridiculous, highly unlikely catch on 4th down to really take control of the game. For almost 42 minutes, this was a one score game.

 

And this was at home against a 7 seed Broncos team that barely made the playoffs, with a rookie QB that went on the road to Buffalo. It's not like this was Baltimore.

 

I get it, this is a Bills board and people want to be optimistic, but there's room for opinions other than just being a cheerleader. I see the things that need to be cleaned up in order to get a championship, something that I guarantee the team is also doing.

I still don’t hate Detroit oddly enough…assuming they’re not getting any big names back on defense. Not sure what the status of some of those guys is 

 

if we didn’t get pretty banged up in that one I think that would’ve probably been a blowout

Allen deserved a lot of credit for not forcing throws as he's done in the past. His receivers clearly weren't getting open early, and he threw it away or pulled it down and ran. He even took a few sacks. But he didn't throw it up for grabs. Given that he knows he can make some of those dangerous throws, his restraint is impressive--and very good for the Bills.

They are my number 2.  I don’t think they would be able to get us off the field and we control the clock, keep Goff on the sidelines.

I hear you, it wasn't a perfect game, but they moved the ball pretty much at will, Denver never really got much of anything going, and this is what happens when the better team controls the game which they did by controlling, the LOS, the ball and the clock.

 

If they play like that next week, controlling the LOS, not turning the ball over, keeping Allen clean, etc they will win. It won't be perfect, but theyll win.

I am not sure anyone on the panel had ever heard of Ty Johnson and I would bet half of them are not sure who james cook is.

I’m far from a cheerleader.

there is much work to be done.

 

that being said, this is one of the few games that I felt no matter what, there was no way the bills were going to lose.
