Bizarre. I was told all week that Patrick Surtain Jr was going to intercept everything but the coin toss.

Welcome to Matchups 101. Surtain can take away your #1 WR but what can he do when you have 5 or 6 people who can all be targeted on a play?

Surtain is elite if you need him to take away one guy or a side of the field. Problem is, Bills can throw it anywhere and they run enough trickery in their passing game that you can usually force one defender to freeze or be a step slow and in a favorable matchup.

Sooo was watching Sean Payton's presser.

He said he liked where they were at halftime.

On the one hand, fair enough - they opened with a good drive, they had held the Bills to a FG and forced a punt.  One score game, 7 to 10.  They had more passing yards than we did, 117 to 69

But the Bills had controlled the TOP 19:40 to 10:20; controlled the rush game 128 yds to 44 yds; and more 1st downs 13 to 9; 62.5% vs 40% 3rd down efficiency

They weren't looking good.  The game wasn't as close as the score would indicate.

Assume he meant as a serious underdog road team the score at halftime was pretty much the best they could have hoped for - they were still very much in it.

Bills let them get a good shot in to start the fight, licked the blood off their lip, said "Good one...now it's my turn!", smiled and then proceeded to go B2A on them for 57 minutes in the most epic curbstomping of the weekend.

I thought they played well on D until it fell apart late.  Yes, we had TOP but they were very tough in the red zone.  Their O did not threaten anything after that first drive but that will change in the next season or two.  If I were a Broncos fan I would have a decent a,pint of optimism despite the score at the end.

It was a weird game in that Bills pretty much thoroughly dominated the whole game, the final score accurately reflects that domination, and yet the distribution of points within the game made it seems close for a long while. It felt like the Bills took care of business in the second half after letting the Broncos hang around in the 1st half. Yet, the poor angle by Taylor Rapp on the Bronco TD and the uncalled pass interference against Kincaid in the end zone were the only differences, scoring wise, between the halves. In hindsight, it really was a consistently dominate performance.

I have been a big basher of Von Miller that is no secret. He is my unsung hero of the game yesterday. 7 QB hurries and every time the broncos tried running to his side he set the edge and forced the RB back up the middle. It was a very impressive playing. Hope he can repeat next week. GO BILLS!

Eh.  I thought both teams had some execution issues on offense.  Josh missed Knox wide open in the end zone.  Nix missed a few wide open receivers later in the game (some drops too).

He's washed. But it's a nice story line.

You hope whoever you sign off the street doesn’t have to play.

Cook and Johnson can easily handle it. But you need another RB active Sunday if Ray Davis can’t go.

Normally I watch a game back and think "That was better than I thought" as usually emotion makes things look worse. Yesterday's game... I'm not so sure - particularly on offense. It felt like the execution issues and the penalty issues were still as concerning as watching live. The Johnson touchdown was a superb play by him, as the throw could have easily been incomplete. It was not an easy catch. If he had missed it it wouldn't have been on him, and the game would have been in a very different place.

The scoreline suggests a blowout for the Bills and, in the end it was, but it was not an easy one for the most part. Hopefully things will be tightened up for the Ravens game.

I believe that Joe Brady's stock ticked up with yesterday's game.

No it didn't. Joe Brady sucks, he's horrible, in fact I saw him calling plays using one of those foldy things from middle school and a Magic 8 Ball. Total fraud. The NFL should forget he's a person.
