We could have played a roster out of a nursing home and had the same success slowing down Joe Burrow. There wasn't a defense at all. No other contender has had such a lack of competitiveness on one side of the ball. We would have crushed the Chiefs last year with Baltimore's defensive performance against them and Josh's offensive performance. Multiple score victory. The Bills are healthy this year on defense for the first time in recent memory. Let's have some optimism that we will see a competitive defense against an absolutely elite offense under a great coach, but trying to erase the history of how McDermott defenses have stacked up in the playoffs after a wild card win over the Broncos is just foolishness 1 1 1 Quote

I think my problem with this stuff is yall forget there’s another team out there. Joe Burrow - in that game - had Tee Higgins, Chase, one of the best slots in the league really good RB and a. Good TE…and again a future hall of fame QB. But your expectation is for Sean McDermott to stop that offense? With bunch of backups? Or stop Mahomes and Andy Reid and Travis Kelce and Tyreke hill when they go GOAT mode? And ACTUALLY containing Mahomes and Andy reid while literally pulling dudes off the street to start at linebacker? Its combination of hugely unfair expectations, refusing to see the larger story, and then not even appreciating what happens in a game. Like last year the Bills D put Allen in a position to win at the end. 2 1 1 1 Quote

However let’s pump the brakes and see how the defense plays next week before we start declaring that McDermott has exercised the demons. So he has to have an elite defensive performance against arguably the highest powered offense in the league (Baltimore) and one of the greatest QBs and HC/OCs in NFL history (KC), in order to exercise his demons? appoo Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Getting this current roster to 14 wins is some hall of fame *****. They are easily outplaying their talent level this season and this man continues to get attacked and fired by fans. You can give him the Andy Reid/Mike Tomlin lifetime contract at this point IMO 1 Quote

Nelius Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Is this like a calculated Reddit onslaught? People really feel this way after wrecking Denver? Fetou you can’t be real Quote
hondo in seattle Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Let's say there's once you reach this level, every game is more or less a 50-50 proposition. At this point, there's roughly a 12% chance that the Bills win the Lombardi. If the 88% probability happens and the Bills don't win it all, McD will be blamed regardless of what goes wrong. 1 Quote

Some "fans" complain about McD all the time, so why not. And that rookie QB was let down by his receivers. They dropped so many passes. Thankfully ha ha but Nix played better than the rest of his team. Quote

appoo Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Just now, H2o said: This guy says hi. And? He doesn’t design the offense and he doesn’t create the offensive philosophy. Having an MVP talented QB does not guarantee 14 wins. plus that defense doesn’t have a single blue chipper that you’d expect to push into the first all pro team year in year out. Yet when healthy they’ve been effective this season 1 Quote

A rookie QB that many prematurely crowned… that was thoroughly dominated if this is about McD he earned points this game. Tiny amount of points for the biggest doubters, but still points 1 Quote

He’s already over and well beyond the hump. There is no hump to overcome. Hes proven himself to be a great coach. You measure NFL coaches on longevity of success more so random luck with injuries and how they do against Hall of Fame talent in single games 1 Quote

The Broncos aren't trash, they just aren't quite enough to override multiple years of playoff history for this team just yet. Quote
