We have our eye on the prize and this isn’t it. A first round win against a Donks team that some predicted to win is worth a little rejoicing. If this is the real season, then we’re now 1-0 (I fully disagree with this dumb take personally and think we’re a dominant AFC force) when do you start to celebrate friend? Next week? I’m personally sliding around in a kiddie pool full of expensive craft Denver IPAs after being a librarian for a few weeks 1 Quote
WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'll say that I kept hearing about how great Payton is and how amazing Nix looked down the stretch and how the Broncos liked to attack the short routes that give the Bills trouble. Like I said to my Ravens buddy, this was McDermott choosing to strangle an eel and somehow doing it Quote
HappyDays Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago This was the best defensive playoff performance in the McDermott/Allen era IMO. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to have the script completely flipped this year. Poor in the regular season but stout in the playoffs. 2 Quote
Nihilarian Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Denver came in HOT...and then they were NOT! Countless Bills fans are talking about replacing McD after losses...that's how some react. 1 Quote

Zero confidence in this defense and the guy running it when it comes to the playoffs. When playoff time rolls around, a constant theme is McD’s bad decisions and bad defense. This is going to be another great season by Josh wasted by McDermotts scheme, lack of guts, and a porous defense. Can’t believe his defense let up 7 points and 2 third down conversions. Can’t win with a guy like that. Fire him. That doesn’t come until the divisional round. Quote

Do you really not think the burden of proof is now on McD’s shoulders to prove he can win big games? Your ilk will move the goal post at every opportunity to piss and moan. McDermott out-coached Payton today. Fact and done. I choose to enjoy this great, long-tenured Bills run. On to next week. I’m excited. 1 Quote

Many had the Broncos winning today. Payton is an elite offensive mind. Nix came into the game playing as well as any QB in the league and trending. Are you incapable of giving credit to McDs defense? 13 minutes ago, Saint Doug said: Don’t we do this every year…until we don’t? When haven’t we had these dominating wins in the last 4 years. Need the same strategy next week. 1 Quote
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Today was a great job by the defense. Im the first guy to kill the D, I’ll make sure I’m right here to say thank you and to appreciate them when they deserve it. The only way we are going to win a superbowl is if the defense steps up. Today is step one of four. Great job. Let’s keep at it 1 Quote

Can we only criticize McD when his defense plays poorly? Then make excuses and rationalize the weakness of the opponent when his defense plays well? You conveniently leave out the abysmal divisional round losses. Genius. Most people who have voiced their displeasure take issue with the proverbial divisional round losses. Don’t get it twisted. A win next weekend would go a long way in silencing his detractors. Quote

However let’s pump the brakes and see how the defense plays next week before we start declaring that McDermott has exercised the demons. 1 Quote
