And I can’t disagree with your points posted above. However let’s pump the brakes and see how the defense plays next week before we start declaring that McDermott has exercised the demons. 5 hours ago, mjt328 said: Some coaches are good at building culture, shaping a locker room and creating year by year consistency. But they just don’t have what it takes to finish the job and win a championship. McDermott may be a good coach. He may even be a great coach. But at some point, you can’t just ignore the playoff failures. Defense is supposed to be what he brings to the table. The road to the Super Bowl goes through the same guys every season (Mahomes, Jackson, Burrow). If he can’t figure out how to slow down those guys, we are just spinning our wheels. Any prediction for next week? 1 Quote

Yup. Tells you there are some serious wackos out there when it comes to McDermott hate. It was obvious that the OP was being sarcastic. The fact that many took it as real ... that's what tells you all you need to know. TBH. The OP was a bit over the top but there really are people who are not that far from what he was pretending to be. 9 hours ago, FireChans said: Who is hating? This topic was made to preempt another playoff defensive collapse, because the reputation of the Josh Allen Sean McDermott Bills is playoff defensive collapses. It’s obvious. If folks weren’t worried about this defense laying an egg and losing in the divisional round, this topic wouldn’t exist. It’s a rubber stamp that the fear is real. Yup, it's real. Among nuts, particularly. There should be fear out there. For every team. In the playoffs you're up against the best of the best. Every team can lose. Every team's fans should feel fear. KC could lose to Houston. Odds are against it, but you can bet that while there's confidence in KC, there's fear underlying it. There's always a chance. But the nuts are so focused in on the Bills defense that it's really pretty sad. There is reason for concern, but it's a lot worse than that among the fruitcakes. It's obsession and some kinky form of hatred. They're not great, not even very good. They're not as good as they were in past years. But as they get healthy again, they're getting better. For a team that lost Hyde and Poyer and Leonard Floyd and has had to juggle LBs all year, I think they have exceeded expectations. And again, they're getting healthier. Don’t speak on my behalf deviled woman. This topic was not made out of fear nor to preempt another playoff defensive collapse. I created this thread to: 1) Give props to the defense and McDermott as apparently they are incapable of performing well in big games and the playoffs. Defense let up 7 points, 2 third down conversions, and 5.3 yards per play. The DEFENSE won us a playoff game. 2) Awake the Fire McD picketers from their caves. I am rooting for him though and would absolutely loved to be proven wrong. I've read numerous posts by you and not one single time in ANY of your posts does it sound even remotely close to you "rooting for him"! No one on this board expected a rookie qb to travel to OP and dice up any D. I bet if they loose next week there will be less sarcasm on this board. Conversely, if McD and his Defense can be good next week and get a W, I believe that this JA17 led offense can and will win it all. We are on to Baltimore. GO BILLS! Ummmmm no we're not... Baltimore is coming HERE! Quote

In fact if you add the 5 drops to his qb rating as completions, he would've had a 123.48. It didn't hurt too that we kept his offense and our defense off the field for 42 minutes. 1 1 Quote

The last sentence was something like ‘how dare mcd give up 7 points’ in the op haha I think anyone that read the whole op and didn’t just jump in based on the title would’ve known Quote
