The Buffalo News had an excellent stat today.  They questioned if the Ravens pass defense was really as amazing as they've looked recently?  Then they looked at the recent opponents offensive rankings.

LA Chargers  ranked 19th in passing yards

Houston ranked 21st

Cleveland ranked 22nd

NY Giants ranked 28th

Philadelphia ranked 29th

Pittsburgh x 3 games ranked 27th

The Ravens reputation has fattened up on an average of the 25th ranked passing offenses.

I'm not saying that Sunday will be great for passing, this will probably be a game where whoever dominates the trenches and runs better will win.

They've been knocking down tomato cans since Thanksgiving.

They're good, but they ain't that good.

I’ve been beating this drum in multiple threads this week.  Yet another example of the media not really digging deep and just repeating statistics.

The Ravens have a good defense but they’re not the 2000 Ravens or ‘86 Bears, for chrissakes.

If the greatest playoff game is played Sunday, You can say I was there

If I had the funds I would drive from here in Columbus up there, bundle up and root em on

If my body wasnt so broken I'd love to go. Too much risk for me. I don't have bone on the back of my neck anymore so my spinal cord is partially exposed. Some drunk fan hit me the wrong way or something. Plus I get in too much pain if I dont sit comfortably for more than like an hour.  I might risk and deal with it when the new stadium opens just so I can get the experience of the new stadium and a live game one last time.

It wouldn’t if we lose to KC next week.  No one will gaf

there would be some nice chatter for 6 days -  then forgotten if KC beat us

I'd love to get to the superbowl this year, but yeah if we lost to KC I'd be ok. I dont wanna lose this week again though. We need to get more chances at the show.

I largely agree, but at the very least it would mean Allen had been to two AFC Championships...

For sure-  it’ll just be forgotten until Josh and Lamar play in the playoffs next.  Then whomever wins that game, will take the mantle until next time.

but there’s only one mantle that counts- and this isn’t it

Living in Ravens country I see alot of coverage Last night they showed Flowers doing drills. He was running and moving great This could be the ultimate Harbaugh Doubtful then playing.

If he broke one for 60 yards and then we stuffed him and sidelined him the rest of the game then Id be fine with that.

If he doesn’t score on the 60 yarder and then we stuff him for next 14 carries for 0 yards we would hit 4.0 ypc that he said is so bad. I could totally live with that line. I still contend median is more valuable than average.

get Lamar is a lot more refined now and they got Derrick Henry

When BAL announced Henry added, this is exactly what I saw coming and dreaded. Whichever top 10 team got him was SB capable. D just needs to slow them some. Josh has to outscore them.

I think people might confuse it with our new stadium which will have a heated field.

It’s actually insane to me that a ST Coordinator could be getting that so wrong within 48 hours if their toughest and most important game of the season.

These guys are sleeping in their offices this time of year. And it can’t be just him. That has to be something that the staff has just assumed all week. Like these guys have definitely been working with the equipment guys all week about cleats, tape, long sleeves, gloves. And 48 hours out they still think the field is heated?

This alone makes me feel a lot better about this game. Their prep has been terrible.

Awesome!  Show me a better QB highlight reel?  There isn't one.  Josh is the greatest QB the NFL in history IMO.  Josh has the supreme ability, will, wherewithal, and confidence.  The Bills are 9-0 at home, The Mafia will be insanely loud.  Josh has proved doubters wrong since HS.  People betting against Josh are out of their minds!  In the words of YOLO, Josh is everyman, and he is superman.

GO BILLS!

Pro tailgating tip- most Bill Mafia already knows.

We like to pack thermos's with hot soup(chowder, broth, etc).  As we unpack, and set up, we sip on hot soup.  The warm soup hits the spot and helps warm you up

Another pro tip on a cold tailgate. If you’re fire pit people use wood and charcoal. The charcoal burns much much hotter and longer. You won’t get as much flame but you’ll get way more heat.

Key to victory = our run game.   To slow down Balt’s run game we need to run ball well ourselves and dominate the time of possession. Keep LJ8 and King Henry off the field.  If they get up early we’ll be in deep *****.

OK, well you said "i hope he starts a fight early and mixes it up.  Let the self proclaimed bullies know it’s a fight. "

You do know that fighting carries a penalty and sometimes ejection to boot?

You do know it's not necessary to "start a fight" in order to be physical and set the tone of being physical on the line of scrimmage, right?

In fact the two don't necessarily go together.  Some of the guys with the most "tough guy" attitudes aren't, in fact, the most physical "tone setting" players.  Jon Feliciano, liked to talk a tough guy game.  2020 AFCCG, Bills OL just could not protect and Feliciano was a *****in' turnstile all day long.  Allen was sacked 4 times and probably would have been 10 if he wasn't so good at getting away.  So 3 or 4 minutes left, Allen is sacked bad, Feliciano comes out swinging and shows what a tough guy he is.  The penalties wound up "offsetting" but it was total BS.

2022, Giants took him on and gave him a shot to start at C.  Close game against Washington, G-men driving.  Feliciano gets a taunting penalty on 1st and 10, now it's 1st and 25.  Giants wind up punting, Commanders march down the field and tie the game up, that's how it ends.

Yeah, being tough and physical from the snap to the whistle and being a "tough guy" who starts fights, not necessarily the same thing.

:doh::flirt:

The fact that you think fight means fight like an actual fight, well I am not sure how to respond to that.

Just to make your head spin,

The dog barked at the tree.
