Bleeding Bills Blue Posted Thursday at 07:32 PM Posted Thursday at 07:32 PM 1 minute ago, MikePJ76 said: LOL. Where did this narrative start? is this one of those stupid baltimore things that they all just keep saying to each other? Like their we are so blue collar nonsense? Allen gets killed in games and just keeps firing. This is pretty funny. Like... wait... which QB got knocked out the last time they came to buffalo again? Quote

I want to beat them worse than we've ever beaten anyone. Not even Cincinnati was talking this much trash about playing us, even though they were when they played and beat KC! KC fans on the other hand have every reason to be confident playing us at their house in the playoffs. They've beaten us there numerous times. It's become completely insufferable, to the point that I don't want to watch or hear any national media. I usually consume everything during a week like this, but it's so one-sided that I'm stunned. It's like we barely snuck into the playoffs and have no business being on the same field. And I live in the Baltimore area which makes it 10x worse! We have to win because I can't take all the crap the Ravens people will say to me all offseason. Edited Thursday at 07:44 PM by bills742 2 1 Quote
Beck Water Posted Thursday at 07:46 PM Posted Thursday at 07:46 PM 2 hours ago, MikePJ76 said: in regards to the Ravens defense you can count me as concerned. The Dolphins running a similar scheme gave the bills a hard time on offense most of the game in buffalo and Baltimore did a really good job against the bills offense. This is a tough matchup and it seems that something scheme wise gives Allen and/or the offense some problems. Everything about this game is hard. The Bills have to play their best game of the Allen era to win it. 2 hours ago, MikePJ76 said: yep fair points but it looked different than most miami games when we were on offense. more importantly Baltimore has better personnel with the exception of maybe Ramsey outside. It's a valid point on the similarities in defensive scheme - I hadn't thought about Anthony Weaver's background with the Poebirds. Good catch. Regarding offense in the Miami game: Cooper was out for that game, and Samuel was 1 game back from being out for a game and played limited snaps. I know they haven't contributed much in the way of receptions and yards, but the Bills offense seems to work better when they're on the field. Cooper gives them a genuine outside receiving threat, for example. Teams can't just squat on the run. Even so, with 325 yds, 24 1st downs, 50% 3rd down conversions, and almost 50% TOP it's not as though Miami just throttled the Bills offense. And a handful of plays can swing it - if Coleman holds on to that damn ball that hit his hands down near the goal line or even just bats it down instead of it being picked, the game is 10-3 Bills instead of 10-3 Dolphins - which points out the real problem - our D let the Dolphins drive 97 yds and 8 minutes 21 seconds for a TD instead of Doing Their Job and getting a stop. Regarding the Ravens game, Cooper was not a gleam in Beane's eyeball at that point; I still maintain that game was a major factor in Beane saying "OK, we need more at receiver to compete this year." But I think the real problem on offense in the Ravens game was defense. Offense punts on the opening drive - it happens. Defense immediately gives up an 87 yd TD. OK, offense gets the ball, drives the length of the field, stalls out due to 2 OH penalties, settles for a FG, 7-3 Ravens. Defense immediately gives up a 4 minute drive ending in a TD, helped out by an UR penalty on Smoot. The Ravens scored TDs on their first 3 possessions, without any turnovers by the offense that put them in a poor position. That puts the offense in a deep hole they never did climb out of. Yes, it's a tough matchup. I mean, it's the playoffs. Want easy matchups, earn the 1 seed. 1 Quote

Im basking in it. I am the Jack Nicholson GIF. The disrespect is gonna be on every screen at OBD. If run defense is truly a "mindset" as Daquan Jones has said, then displacement (which was lower than i expected in the Denver game) will be minimal and we have a good shot at stopping Henry. That and Josh had his most efficient season since 2020 (maybe better even) after the narrative all season was how we couldnt make up for the loss of Diggs and Gabe. Yeah sign me up for all the negative national media coverage. 1 minute ago, Not at the table Karlos said: Things didn’t work out very well for Alonzo in this movie. If there was ever a better time for co MVP's this is it IMO. Naturally my fav is Josh, but lamar Jackson is playing the best football of his career in the NFL. Right, but he was talking about the Bills and how tough a challenge it is to defend Josh, and then for some reason brought up Lamar being good in the same sentence. It was just weird, like he couldn’t say Josh was good without saying Lamar is good too. Most objective observers can appreciate that Lamar has been awesome this year too, but it doesn’t need to be pointed out when discussing topics not involving him. 1 Quote

At the risk of derailing, if JK played for any other team we’d remember that moment as two trash people being trashy together. I won’t hold it against anybody for punching 90’s and early aughts Jim Kelly in the face. 2 1 Quote

You know most of the QBs probably feel this way, but never say anything other than the standard platitudes. I’m fine with that approach, but I respect this position a great deal. Quote
