Its so rare that our DE's get even close to a QB unless he's held the ball for more than 5 seconds. When they do get back there they whiff like they are surprised that it even happened. Ive seen Von and AJ completely run by the QB numerous times.

Funny that the majority of QB's are holding the ball 2.5 seconds or less yet have high pressure rates against us.  That doesn't add up based on what is actually happening versus what you claim is happening.

Ray Davis is already limited. So probably a good chance he plays.

Codrington full practice.

Anderson limited.

I can't wait to see Anderson on a pull and pancake Roquan Smith.

This was a very good breakdown from Chris Simms.  He said if Buffalo runs their regular defense they are going to be killed but thinks they need to take more chances, play more man coverage, and stay aggressive.

He mentioned that the Bills changed their coverage in the 2nd half of Week 4 and it was more successful.

His argument is that their regular “bend by don’t break” defense will get gashed anyway so why not try?

Offensively he thinks Buffalo can run on the Ravens defense and if they can get Baltimore to move to man they can  get favorable matchups on Tre and Brandon Stephens.

He is leaning on predicting the Ravens but thinks the Bills can win.  The thing is they can be conservative on either side

Von has been great against the run too.  Roseau is the other playmaker on the DL.  Time for Da’Quan and Ed to step up!  I’m happy to see zero Ravens on that chart.  I do believe we will play 4-3 Cover 1 frequently.  It might be a good idea to start with play action, and use the pass to set up the run.

GO BILLS!

Odafa Oweh is on the Ravens. Regrettably.

My point isnt about AFC teams only. Its about how good GM's have built there teams to contend for Superbowls in the same amount of time that we have had Josh Allen, balling like an MVP.

We on the otherhand spend first and second round draft picks on AJ, Boogie, Elam, Cole Bishop, Rousseau. Name one of them that has had a truly productive season considering where they have been drafted. Several of them dont even suit up on a consistent basis.

Brother, I don’t think you have a coherent point. You shifted from “bottom feeding teams” leapfrogging us to this point about GMs building Super Bowl contenders.

The NFC teams don’t have to compete with KC every year to get to the Super Bowl, you know, the game that KC has played in 4/5 past seasons.

We do not have a team building issue, we have a KC issue, like 30 other teams. If you’re going to start down the draft success road… I’ll pull out some objective data that just absolutely blows your mind. Beane drafts as good as anyone in the league, outside of maybe John Lynch and Eric DeCosta.

P.S. How in the ***** are you trying to lump Rousseau in as a bust? Rousseau has been plenty productive, look at the other DE taken around him in 2021.

Payton Turner

Odafe Oweh (Eric DeCosta!)

Joe Tryon-Shoyinka

Because he hasnt generated a double digit sack total since hes been here and hes been here 4 years now. His best season he had 8 sacks. Thats pedestrian for a first round draft pick, who BTW wants to get paid big. Those numbers are actually pedestrian for any starting DE nowadays.

Surprised the line hasn't moved with this news today.

He seems to be a big part of the passing game and the other guys aren't good IMO.

Bateman has had some big games and they have 2 very productive tight ends.  It's good news of Flowers is out,  but they have many weapons on offense. If we cant stop Henry ,it won't matter.

I respectfully disagree with this

Man coverage puts your back to the LOS and ball.

The options, rpo, and likelihood that Jackson runs means all eyes must be toward the ball.

I 100% disagree with his take unless the ravens WRs are trash and I don't realize it.

Lamar is decidedly better against zone though, and there is less tape of us playing man. I think if we sit in zone, especially in base defense, we will get passed on.

Hey everybody.

Just a quickie right here in the middle of a likely 100 page thread by kickoff on Sunday.

We hate the Ravens and their fans right about now, correct?  Just to be clear?

I very, very, very, very much do, if my opinion holds any sway with any of you.

Anyways, let me know.

Go Bills

So would you have preferred Odafe Oweh or Joe Tryon-Shoyinka?

It’s not pedestrian for a late 1st round pick, if we took Rousseau at 1.5, sure you may have a case. We took him at 1.30 and he’s outplayed his classmates league wide.

He’s one of the top 10-15 players in that entire draft class, and only 3 of those players went AFTER him. Including our own Spencer Brown.

He is also one of the best run defenders and setting the edge players in the NFL. As a whole package he has been plenty good.

John, does that mean "He who shall not be named" will be dressing at CB on Sunday?

I dont care who was drafted near him. It still doesn't change the fact that he is not worth a first. We have had to many JAGS drafted on defense within the 1st and second rounds that have done very little. I personally blame development . Cant be that every player we draft on the D-Line becomes this way.

Not to put the cart before the horse. Certainly not disrespecting a quality Ravens team. But….

If the Bills win…

Hosting Houston and winning would reverse the loss.

Then possibly facing and beating the Rams in New Orleans

The Bills would have their own version of an undefeated season beating every team on their schedule this year.

A little more worried about our O the more I think about it.

Baltimore’s D seems to always give Josh problems outside of one half where we came back to beat them.

They match up well with our strengths where Denver’s strength didn’t matter to us - CBs to take away Cooper and Keon.  Our strength is YAC and the middle of the field - and running the ball.  So we didn’t care about Surtain and Riley Moss.  We could pound it at them and abuse their LBs.

Baltimore’s front 7 can stop the run and cover.  They have Hamilton and Humphrey for Kincaid and Shakir.

Cooper, Keon, and Samuel have got to make plays.  I think we are going to be throwing to them and our RBs quite a bit.  Get open!

Bills had a 48% pressure rate against the Broncos, which is a great pressure rate.  I’ll sign up for a 48% pressure rate against Lamar

their fans are very brash and coarse to a point of over compensation. it's similar to the phili or bronx type of attitude.

there is no communication with them and after listening to their radio it is clear - they cannot simply acknowledge or respect anyone or anything else. every time they could talk poorly of someone else they would. if they spoke about the Bills it was with certainty - "the Bills defense is trash," or "josh allen isn't lamar jackson," or "lamar jackson has more ground yards than Breece Hall, and more passing yards than 29 other QB's while Josh Allen isn't doing this on the field and can't pass off to Henry."

everything they did was compensation for their little prick energy. it actually made WGR sound listenable.
