The key to slowing Henry down is tackling him by his legs.  So many of Henry's runs show tacklers falling/bouncing off his upper body & waist. Get his legs & he goes down, it will hurt more in the cold & wear on him.

At his knees and below too. Rapp tried to tackle his thighs and got knocked out.

One thing I'd definitely do if I was McD is, if they win the coin toss, don't defer. Take the ball and try and get the first score. Make them play from behind right away.

I'd actually like to see our D out there on the very first play and try to set the tone with King Henry right off the bat.......the guys going to get his yards, that's for sure, but let him know it's going to be a long day if they want to keep trying to run the ball.

Bills being a home underdog really rubs me the wrong way......I hope the Bills take this slight, and it gives them a little extra juice and anger towards the Ravens.

In a close matchup, this could just be the edge that makes a difference.

Go Bills!!!

Does anyone dispute Lamar and King as the best QB/RB duo? Honestly, a 3x MVP QB and The King.

Yeah, I seen that on twitter. I was kinda surprised about some of those numbers. The comments from Ravens fans are comical. Although they usually are on twitter. I used to think Miami fans were the most annoying fanbase. Miami fans got nothin on Ravens fans. Even Chiefs fans are more tolerable. TBF I am talking twitter here and there are some scumbag Bills fans on there too.

Might be fake but whatever, use it!

Yeah, I'm not a big believer in bulletin board material because I don't think players need more to get up for a playoff game.  However, I wouldn't go after Josh Allen.  What was it, 6 years ago that Jalen Ramsey talked smack about him and Josh is STILL going after that guy and making his life miserable.

I like having Smoot back for this game. Rousseau and Smoot at DE will help slow their run game

It’s about time AJ has a great game. He made some big plays early in the season.   Hes been quiet too long

Has it been verified anywhere those were real comments from Hamilton?

I think you’re right about going big to match the Ravens, but taking Taron out a bunch is really hard to do. He is so special. But I don’t think he can go in at safety either, so that might be the only option when the Ravens go big. We definitely need a plan other than staying in nickel.

Serious question for folks smarter than me…

Aren’t some defensive formations a single high safety look?   Why not pull one of the safeties, keep TJ on the field and play single high safety looks in obvious run downs?    Why do we always have to pull TJ to get another LB on the field?

You’re a ravens fan- you should say that.

josh played 11 less quarters of football-  the stats would be much closer if we had something to play for over the last month of the season and we didn’t blow so many teams out.

point is-  he won the mvp last season strictly due to his teams great record and had nothing to do with his stats.  This year- the reason he’d be winning is he’s stats?  How does that make sense?

Your team added Derrick Henry and your team lost 2 additional games.  You have 8 pro bowlers other than Lamar.  Meanwhile Josh’s “team got worse” and had 2 more wins than last season- the one negative aspect in his game- interceptions- was turned into a positive.  Josh has 1 pro bowler along side of him.  Meanwhile his team is hosting Lamar’s in the playoffs and Lamar has more talent around him.  Most VALUABLE player-  not the player who had the best season statistically. Josh is the most valuable-  there is no doubt.  But I’m glad Josh isn’t going to win the award.  More fuel to his fire.

I keep seeing everyone talking stats, stats, stats to support why Lamar should be MVP.   But if it’s only about stats… why isn’t Burrow the MVP?  He had better stats than anyone.  Just go to nfl.com pull up your passing leaders.. boom. Select your MVP.

I know the answer.  But no one supporting Lamar wants to talk about team play and context, they just bring up his stats.   It makes no sense.

just kick their ass and be done with it all!

They defend their guy with the same passion we defend our guy.  Both highly polarizing QB prospects that turned into elite dual threat QB's but always criticized by those who thought they'd fail.  If we drafted Lamar and they drafted Allen it would be exactly the same thing.

I have no problem with that. Thats the way it should be. I spend a lot of time on twitter though and it's more than just "defending their guy with passion" and as I said, thats from both sides. Its like going to chiefs planet or whatever their forums are.

I now move Ravens fans ahead of KC fans as the MLFB (Most Loathable Fan Base). KC fans have a reason to be the way they are, they have won numerous SB's over the past decade. Ravens fans have a media MVP and act as if they have had so much success with Lamar. I can recall going over to their board(s) just to see the reaction after we beat them in the playoffs and most were onboard with letting Lamar go. Hes always hurt, hes a rusher first and not a true passer, now he's the best QB in the history of the NFL if you let them tell the story.

I want to beat them worse than KC now!

I don’t I’ll agree with that now.  Yes!

But next week… I think KC will move to the top of teams I wanna beat the most!

I would definitely defer if possible unless extenuating circumstances.  The crowd will be going nuts and maybe we get an early stop and set the tone?  Even if they score (e.g., Broncos game), it's not the end of the world.

Curious to hear from our resident Chiefs fans - would you prefer to play Buffalo or Baltimore in the AFCCG?

@beebe @Zerovoltz @SaulGoodman @Billl

I genuinely have no idea.  Gun to my head, I’d probably rather play Baltimore because our run defense is so solid.  There’s also the fact that Josh is one of the very few people on the planet who can turn a great defensive play into a TD.  Then again, Lamar did just that against us in the playoffs last year, so who knows?  Maybe it’s that Lamar is more likely to gag the game away.

Agreed.  I get the idea of scoring first.  But the potential to double dip is a huge reason to defer.  The only other thing to really consider with the coin flip is the weather.  You either want the wind at your back in the 4th and/or if bad weather is coming maybe you take the ball first to get scores in before it arrives.
