Not worried much about the Ravens defense.

Josh Allen is pretty much matchup proof.  Yes, he has bad games sometimes (just like everyone else).  But it's usually more about him having an "off-day" than anything the opposing defense is actually doing to him.  If he's locked-in on Sunday, the Ravens aren't going to stop us from scoring.

There is a legitimate reason everyone is worried about the other side...

First is history.  The Bills defense has historically struggled the deeper they get into the playoffs.  They have historically struggled to stop Derrick Henry.  And possibly their worst performance in the last 3 years was against the Ravens earlier this year.  Playing the matchup game, it's just a nightmare to try and load-up front to stop Henry...AND be prepared for Lamar Jackson to run...AND have decent coverage in the secondary.  That is for any defensive coordinator in the NFL.  Much less an undersized team that prefers to play light boxes and Nickel personnel.

My feeling is that we MUST throw some clever wrinkles at them early with our defensive looks, make stops in the redzone, and most importantly get a lead.  This is not a game for our trademark slow starts.  Our best hope against the Ravens is to make them one-dimensional, turn them into a passing team and make them rely on Jackson to make plays with his arm.

Our D needs to get one more stop than the Baltimore defense gets. That's what it comes down to with me.

This is going to come up a lot if they lose and I’m not saying the sentiment is incorrect, or that they shouldn’t,  but I feel 100% confident that the pegulas will not move on from McD if they lose to Baltimore. So it’s not even worth all the debate. JMO

I 100% agree but reserve the right to B word and moan.

Massive swing?? -1.5 to +1.5 is about as insignificant of a swing as you can get.

That’s a big difference. 3 points total. Not to mention teaser advantage went from Balt +7.5 to Bills +7.5.

Carl Cheffers is the head ref assigned to Bills Ravens.  Again a good ref assignment for the Bills.

Good ref, typically lets the players play.

That means Balt. DBs will be holding all night.

Dream scenario - Houston pulls the upset Saturday, bills beat the Ravens, afc championship in Buffalo, bills win to advance to superbowl. Bills celebrate afc championship at home with bills mafia.

OK in all seriousness. Bills offense has to be better than yesterday. I know they put up 31 points, but red zone wasn't great yesterday. D line HAS to find a way to get pressure. Again, I know they had a decent day yesterday, but it has to be better this week. Josh has to be an alien. It might take 42 points to win this game

It's not a dream.  It's destiny.

I think the conservative first half was by design.  really the only way we were losing that one was turning the ball over and they were playing a lot of zone and forcing us to play small ball.  Vs Baltimore you know you’re in a shootout from the opening snap and they’re gonna challenge your receivers with a lot of man

Except I want the Rams to win tonight which means the Vikings probably will. Outside of the Bills, every wildcard card result as gone against my wishes.

So, can we say the Vikings would be a revenge tour for being good this season when we didn’t expect them to be and mucking up the second round draft pick?
