This is around what I'm thinking but with no zay flowers and probably a couple turnovers for the ravens I have 44-24 bills. Especially being at home 

 

I think the week 4 game is really the only reason so many people are favoring the ravens. It's not necessarily transitive or completely rational but that's how ppl are seeing it.

At this point I would think that those results factor in Flowers being out. It mentioned that is used the latest weather forecasts too.

McDermott’s Defense may not be the best Defense he’s had here, but it’s the healthiest, and that has to matter now. 

 

I've said before the playoffs that the bills defense would be better in the tournament than the sum of their stats over the course of the regular season. That much of the sum statistics are misleading 

 

Since the bills defense got fully healthy 

 

They faced a real QB with real wrs and skill guys in the jets

 

40-0 in the playoff dress rehearsal game 

 

The second test was against a very hot offense that was avg ,30 PPG over their past 7 games I think. 

 

Denver 31-7. And the 7 was a miscommunication on the first series....Nix is not Lamar but he is also extremely athletic and mobile. It didn't matter 

 

7 points in the last two games that have mattered when healthy. 

 

Again I have no idea why ppl are picking the ravens especially when you consider everything. It makes zero sense

Unless there’s a pretty big upset the Bills are going to have to beat 3 of the top 4 QBs in the league to win the SB (Lamar, Mahomes, Goff).  Ravens/Lamar will need to do the same.  

 

KC/Mahomes needs to beat two great QBs and Detroit should they make it probably only has to beat one.

 

I guess my point is, just keep kicking the can. It seems daunting but gotta win this week to have a chance and if they lose to KC so be it.

Buffalo has scored 30 points 12x this year 

They have only allowed two possessions or less of scores 6x. Again this is historically great. 

 

Washington in 91 allowed 9 sacks the entire year 

Buffalo has allowed 14 sacks all year while slightly passing more. Again this is a historic power/ dominance metric

 

Buffalo with most of their starters and these metrics go up even higher obviously.

 

 

But Raven fans keep touting their strength of schedule.  I think it is very misleading and doesn’t mean much.  The Bills SOS is only so low because of their division opponents are so atrocious.  But the Ravens lost to the Browns and Raiders, so who says they would have handled their business like the Bills did.  And the Steelers record made that win better than it was.  The Bills beating the two number one seeds is way more impressive than beating more barely in the playoffs teams.

Not counting the nonsense week 18 game, the Bills lost only 3 games, all to teams that are still playing

I wonder if the Bills would try some 4 and 5 wide in this game.

 

I’m thinking about Coleman and how scattershot he’s been.

 

The Bills have been steadfast in playing him over 60% of snaps.

 

They have to watch the film and think his routes are so long/deep and there is no separation. 
 

He’s harder to cover going across the field, but that’s true for a lot of people. 
 

Cooper at 39%, Samuel at 39% - I have to believe the Bills cut back Coleman some and mix those two in more - unless Coleman runs deep collector routes? 
 

In the first game we just didn’t really see a pass game (yes no Cooper, yes Shakir with the ankle early on).

I think you're definitely going to see some big throws early to get a lead. Having Coleman and Hollins on the outside this year with their size and jump ball abilities is night and day from last year. It's almost not fair lol

 

Kincaid is the guy who I think will have a big day. Smith and Harrison trying to cover him is a joke 

 

The ravens are going to be dumb and try to spy Allen with Hamilton. They'll try some exotic looks but it's not going to work

My view on this is simple - this is where  we have wanted the Bills for 5-years.

 

100% healthy going into the Playoffs.

 

The team as a whole has managed to achieve that goal.

 

I just can’t imagine McDermott sees a Ravens team that is starting to run 6-lineman and Ricard and two Tight Ends and concludes a basic Nickel is going to work. 
 

I agree with Simms - they’re going to have to take some chances in this game. 
 

The Bills knew Von was going to be suspended in Week 4, so he only played 9-snaps. He was at 50% last week. You have to believe he plays more.

It is crazy the Ravens have only two players on their injury report, one of which practiced fully all week.

Tomorrow's game to me is bigger than any potential AFCCG the following week. Naturally, one would think a game for the right to play in the Super Bowl has more meaning and purpose than a divisional round game. But this game just has so many narratives that need to be killed. First and foremost, McD has to get this team over the divisional round hump and going in the right direction again. That alone is huge and will restore a ton of faith in the fanbase. 

 

Secondly, the Allen vs. Lamar noise is through the roof. Both fan bases want it to be proven on the field who is the better QB. Which of course is silly considering they don't throw the ball to themselves with the other in coverage. But that is how the media sees it and like it or not it will be part of each players lasting legacy. 

 

Sunday's game is the biggest game and has the most on the line that I can realistically remember in my lifetime and I'm 40. I have faint memories of all four Super Bowl losses but as young kid you don't grasp the significance of those games.

 

The AFCCG against the Chiefs would be the second biggest game but I'd put this game ahead of that one.

But if we can keep Henry in check like we've done in 4 of 6 encounters, we'll win...
