Shakir also went off injured in the 1st qrtr.

And Von Miller might have played like 5 snaps.

This Bills team would beat that Bills team by 3 TDs.

Negative on Shakir going off injured in 1st Q.  He played 59% of the snaps and had targets and receptions into the 3rd Q.  However he was injured sometime in the 3Q or 4Q and missed the Houston game entirely.

I could be mistaken but I do think that the Ravens game made it clear to the Bills brass that we had a gap in our skill set that teams who defended us a certain way could exploit.  Then missing Shakir the following week was just awful.  So Beane started looking to make a deal.

He got injured in the first and the ankle probably started swelling up around the third, he was definitely playing through the pain

I think this game has to be the Amari Cooper game if there ever was one. If he's 1v1 outside he needs to get the ball. Get Coleman going on back shoulders too. We need to score 30+ and it will have to come through the air. Our first game we didn't have the horses to execute that way. This is where we find out if the addition of Cooper and the growth of Coleman are enough to flip the script.

It's been well documented in this topic that the Bills D was very shorthanded in the week 4 meeting.

On the other side of the ball, it was only the 4th game in Joe Brady's new offense. Newcomers who would eventually become regulars such as Mack Hollins, Keon Coleman, Curtis Samuel and Ray Davis were still growing in the offense. Amari wasn't even here yet  It was also only the 4th game with a new starting center and left guard.

I'm hoping to play KC next week en route to the Super Bowl, not Houston.

This is just a feeling but I really think whoever wins Sunday at 6:30 wins the Super Bowl.

This is a fairly popular opinion among media and fans alike.

Anyone looking for tickets ? I have 6 extra and dont want to list them on ticketmaster and potentially have ravens fans buy them.

They're in sections 313 & 314. With fees on ticketmaster they're selling around $250. I'll sell them for $175 each. PM me if interested

Thank you very much for doing this. I really appreciate your integrity as a Bills fan.

I actually didn't.  That's one thing that has stuck with me since I was in like 6th grade.  I also remember my first gf's phone number from when I was 13 (40 now) so I guess I just have a thing with numbers.

Do you still call your first girlfriend's old phone number? Just curious.

Thanks.  The point is, he didn't go off in the 1st Q.  Though, if that's when he was injured, he may not have been able to be effective.

I may have missed this upthread, but interesting presser from Bobby Babich on Monday

He's wearing a hat that says S. F. P.

Apparently stands for "Smart.  Fast.  Physical." and he agreed with Muki Hawkins could add a "D." for "Disciplined"

He was asked by Matt Parrino at the start, "taking the temperature of the room after the game, it seemed like your defense was pretty pissed off at everything they'd heard all week long about not being able to stop the run"  He was asked if he felt there were guys going out there with something to prove?

Just kind of nods, says "that's an accurate..pretty accurate statement.  Yup." then "They had a good demeanor all week, that's all I'll say".

Muki Hawkins asked him "how do you see your chances with a fully healthy defense going into the matchup this week?"

Babich says "We'll find out Sunday" and nods, then cracks a little smile and says again "We'll find out Sunday"

But you're talking like our team improved in a vacuum while everyone else stayed stagnant.

It was also just the 4th game for the Ravens, who were 1-2 at the time they played us. They were still learning to gel with their squad, just as much as we were. That was also when they finally started using Henry more. Prior to that, the Chiefs put up 27 on them, the Raiders put up 26, the Cowboys put up 25, and then the Bills put up just 10.

We were definitely missing players, but I'm not sure that explains our offense becoming worse than the Raiders, or our missing defenders explains giving up more points than the Browns...

That was a coaching failure on both sides, paired with poor execution on the field. The DL can't be giving up nearly 200 rushing yards to Henry, and our offense actually has to be more competent. I just went back & looked at time of possession, and they barely beat us in that regard - 31 minutes to 29 minutes. Sure, some of that was garbage time, but I feel top to bottom the players we did have just didn't play with the same urgency Baltimore's were.

I definitely disagree with your take but I'm not gonna debate you.

I'll just finish by saying that IMO, the Bills were significantly more affected by injuries and new personnel than were the Ravens.

That was proven the following week against the Texans.

If you care to disagree and refute, no problem. By all means have at it.

Joe Marino broke down All-22 clips where he anchored well against double teams and played to the correct leverage.

Plus he ate snap count. DaQuan was only on the field in the 35% - 39% range.

DaQuan and Big Ed normally don't compete for snap count.

81% Eddie at the 3T (paired with 19% Jordan Phillips, looked like to me), Daquan 35% at the 1T paired with everyone and his cat (Austin Johnson, Quinton Jefferson)

They may have done some creative stuff, folding a DE inside, as well.  Does Smoot roll inside?  I know Rousseau can...

I shared this with a friend who's looking to buy, but he replied by saying he doesn't want to sit in the 300s (slightly pejorative).

Honest question: what is the vibe around standing up in your sections? Is it frowned upon except for pivotal defensive 3rd downs and after explosive offensive plays? Is it always frowned upon? Is it never frowned upon?

I saw Smoot take some snaps at tackle.

One of the coolest/most candid things I witnessed when on the field for warmups last game, was Babich hyping up a few D-linemen. He was especially psycho with Javon Solomon, who he suddenly mugged from behind while screaming semi-coherent profanities. He lit up a couple others with a touch less vigor and violence, before jump-cutting away as quickly as he'd arrived. It was awesome.

Wasn't that the first game of Von's suspension?

The more the week goes on the more I'm liking the Bills. Media (Ironically except for Nick Wright and Colon Cowherd) are acting like it's a forgone conclusion the Ravens win.

Lamar Jackson has never played in below 10 degree weather before. I wonder how many hits he's going to take before he starts questioning running

FYI, Von played 9 snaps (16%) against the Ravens in week 4.

He was suspended for the following 4 games.

Again the ravens being favored makes no sense

Buffalo has been historical at home. Like 07 Patriots on offense and defense

Buffalo is 9-0 at home

Josh Allen is the way better playoff QB

Josh Allen has one of the greatest playoff games ever in sub zero temp

Add in Lamar not just freezing temps, but he's never been in this type of cold.

It's bizzare

Beane should've seen this coming before the season.  It was obvious that this WR core wasn't good enough.  Not one WR on the roster who had even an above 900 yard season at the time.  He got lucky Cooper was available for a trade at that price.

He did get a little lucky

Coleman matured a little faster than we all thought

Samuel got healthy for the playoffs

And then like you said Cooper was available.
