If we lose because Lamar beats us throwing, I can live with that.  I can not live with getting bulled over by Henry or Lamar running all over the place.

I personally would play 3 LBs and have Taron Johnson on the field over Damar.

I would have Dorian Williams spy Lamar.  Dorian is one of the fastest players we have on D.

If Douglas and Benford can't contain a hobbled Zay and Bateman, we deserve to lose.

Actually Mark Andrews and Isaiah Likely are the ones you should be most concerned about in the passing game. That said our offense has to show up to a big part of the loss in the regular season is our O struggled most of the game and just when it looked like turning the corner we direct snapped to Samuel and it lead to a fumble.

Interesting:

Ravens had the #1 Run D  allowing only 1361 yards

Ravens had the #31st ranked Pass D allowing 4468 yards

There was a stat I read the other day going into the WC about their passing defense and how it’s almost flipped the last few games as a result of them changing the role Kyle Hamilton had. They’ve played him more on the back end role at safety rather than the slot/box and apparently it’s paying off dividends since week 12.

Since that period they apparently ranked first in nearly every major statistical category.

"We think they are the two best teams in the NFL," John Murray, vice president of the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, said. "Baltimore is power-rated higher, and that is why they are only getting one point on the road. Buffalo is a place we do give a home-field advantage in."

One could argue this will be the real Super Bowl….

It will be interesting to see if Flowers trends toward playing. If he can't go that is a big loss as he is a really good WR who can cause us a lot of trouble.

Ankle injuries linger. Even if he plays, I can’t imagine him being 100% or tbh anywhere close. Hopefully I’m not wrong

We will definitely see 3 lbs. They will sell out to stop Henry and that is the engine of that offense. Without Zay flowers most likely this becomes a very winnable game. In Buffalo….forget about it. Bills by 13.

I concur in the 3 LBs. I think we see a very similar game plan to what we used against Detroit.

It makes sense as early on in the season they were trying to make Humphrey and outside CB but he excels in the slot like Taron Johnson.

Baltimore is the one team, both AFC and NFC, that I fear the most in the playoffs.

The Vikings or Rans are not playing 5 days after tomorrow’s game. No way, no how. The Bills will be playing Sunday night. Take that to the bank.

I believe the rule with the MNF WC game is that winner has to play Sunday.

Nice story, but I think we at least need to look at the chance the Poe-Birds improvement in passing D the last few games has to do with who they were playing:

-the Eagles (they pretty much stifled their passing game, and lost)

bye

-the Giants (QB by Tommy DeVito and Tim Boyle)

-the Steelers (they don't believe in Santa Claus or Russell Wilson any more)

-the Texans (Nico Collins and who? at WR)

-the Browns (Bailey Zappe at QB)

playoffs

-the Steelers

If they "flipped the last few games" playing the Bengals and the Chiefs and the Lions, that would be impressive.

The other thing to remember is that in (I think) all but one of the Ravens wins, they get out early and take a nice lead into halftime.  So the other team is chasing them and trying to pass all over the place.

Remember the last time the Ravens were the number 1 seed, the Chiefs jumped out to an early lead and made the Ravens one dimensional. The Ravens are not the team to play from behind.

If zay doesn’t play it lets you throw more resources at slowing down those two guys.  Just because they’d rather throw to Andrews/likely doesn’t mean losing zay doesn’t hurt

Yes that is a big key. Getting out strong and putting points on the board seems to knock them off their game.
