JaCrispy Posted January 12 Posted January 12 (edited) The obsession with identity over capability is mind boggling… The Left would rather “feel” good about giving everyone a participation trophy than being able to get the job done…It’s the same thinking that got us an incompetent Kamala Harris as VP just because she was a woman of color… It is therefore no coincidence when you see Leftist leaders as some of the most incompetent people when it comes to governing…It’s because they were never selected on the criteria of merit, or competence- but rather their identity… A black conservative, 9 times out 10, will be a far superior leader or governor than a black person who is woke…And it really just boils down to common sense…Woke Leftists simply have none because they base their solutions on emotion rather than efficiency… #EverythingWokeTurnsToSh*t Edited January 12 by JaCrispy 1 1 1 2
BillsFanNC Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Although it appears like this all materialized in a few short years, it hasn't. This has been nearly a century in the making and it will take at least as long to defeat, if we can. Trump and what's coming to begin rooting it out of our institutions will be a nice start, but it's only the tip of the iceberg because these people will NEVER stop. Embrace the fight knowing it will not be won during and must continue past our lifetimes. 2

Because achieving the goal, such as conquering inequality, threatens the existence of the group and the power its leadership has acquired. So the group and its crusade go on supported by always evolving goals, faulty metrics, and fresh and newly defined classes of victims to save.
Trump_is_Mentally_fit Posted January 12 Posted January 12 If they did not adjust for bias there would be no women working in orchestras. Just an example of how bias is insidious to the normal process of selecting people for jobs. In 1964, or thereabouts, a major citiy's philharmonics needed a replacement and one of the people trying out was a women. She was really great and when they did a blind test of just the musicians playing their instruments she won hands down. Until they found out she was a women! All the bigoted arguments were then dranw out, women are not strong enough to handle instruments, they can't endure the whole concert, blah blah. After this they made all auditions blind auditions. That's the way it should be.

Thank you for clarifying your position. 2 2

I understand you have likely never been to a philharmonic concert but they have a lot of women today. But you do prove the point that the grift can't end. 2

They changed the rules because of that incident. They all have to be blind tested, that's why half the orchastras are women now 1 1

I wonder what would happen if firefighters were chosen solely on their abilities to lug heavy equipment around, swing an axe, etc, etc. 2

Just answer one question - do you support “best person for the job” or “diversity in hiring”. You seem to be talking out both sides of your mouth on the topic. Maybe just talking out your ass. 2

The TV show the Voice is based on this exact thing, it's not how pretty or handsome you are or how you dress, or anything like that it's about your talent and ability to perform the task at hand and if you are the best or at the top then you will be a winner & not everyone get s the trophy . Fire fighters have to take a test in order to be in that profession and if you don't pass the tests that can qualify you then you can't be a fire fighter ! I would imagine in some cases especially today because of those that feel they are entitled they will complain and cry enough to be allowed to be one because of the fear of getting sued . But in the end all jobs should be based on your abilities & the knowledge to perform the job you are applying for and not your race, gender, or anything else involved in the process of making that decision . But in todays word the squeaky wheel gets the grease and a lot of people are afraid to say or do what needs to be done which is why some people are more hated than others because they say exactly what they see and don't worry about the certain sensitivity's of others .

I couldn't believe it, but they wanted a women in this position and the guy who was really good, imo, wasn't really given a chance

If all auditions were blind, you likely would not have a black lesbian as fire chief in LA…👍 I don’t give a damn what they look like, or who they sleep with, as long as they don’t complain about having to carry a man out of a fire… Edited January 12 by JaCrispy 3
