Steelers @ Ravens playoff game thread (no Bills stuff please)

That offense is going to be hard to deal with if the Bills win today....the combination of Henry and Jackson is a lot to deal with.

I’m thinking of starting a Bills fan group who just want to pretend that the Broncos game is the superbowl, and there are no more games to be played afterward…

 

That way we can just remember this season with good positive memories…😉

My issue, should the Bills win today, is this very much feels like the Bengals in 2022. Albeit it came later in the season, it felt like the Bills were about to be on the wrong end of a blowout in Cincinnati before Hamlin's collapse. People were confident it was going to be a different story in Highmark, yet it was exactly the same one. Admittedly, there were underlying issues which didn't help, but the primary concern - how the Bills match up - remains the same.

Lamar looked to have something going on with lower back.  He might be fine, or it may tense up after the game and impact him for a couple weeks.

When the Texans played the Ravens, I noticed a lot of 5 down lineman to combat BMore’s rushing attack. Why is this significant? Shortly after Bills v Ravens I was yelling the defense should’ve went to a 5-2-4 look to keep Morrow off the field, or even a 5-3-3 when BMore went heavy. Imagine how deflated I was to see that the Texans still couldn’t stop Henry or Jackson with 5 guys on the line.
 

PIT couldn’t stop them with Heyward, Watt, & Highsmith either. I don’t know how you stop that attack, but I do know I’d hit the crap out of Lamar for every read option he does. You see how PIT keyed on the RB and hit him when he didn’t have the ball? That defender would be on Lamar like that. Other fans might think the Bills are playing dirty, or headhunting Lamar and I don’t care. There’s no such thing as nice, cordial, or gentlemanly in the playoffs. I’d make them stop calling it. HIT. HIM. HARD.

You stop it by scoring on every possession. This fantasy that the Bills are just an elite pass rush away from winning a Super Bowl needs to go away. Like you said the Steelers elite DL was a no-show. You win in the playoffs by playing aggressive on defense to hopefully force some negative plays even though you'll inevitably get burned a few times, and by never letting up on offense.

We will beat Balt. I have no doubt. First, we need to destroy Denver.

 

When we do, it's on to hosting Balt and we contain Lame Mar like we always do. Our team is healthy so far now... different game then earlier this season. Bring it on! They are one-dimensional. You watch... Bills are a much better team.

This is the first year the Ravens have EVER used team captain patches in their history. Lamar, and any franchise QB, will always be the offense's team captains.
