And that’s the rub - ya gotta put up points so they’re forced to abandon the run. Can’t let Henry go off on you on the first goddam play from scrimmage.

Pittsburgh did fairly well on the first drive on 1st and 2nd down.   Their 3rd down defense was terrible in the first half (sound familiar?).  Baltimore was like 6/7 and most weren’t short yardage.  The TD to Bateman was on 3rd and 13.   The result was some super long drives ending in 7, that limited chances to score (not like Russ would have done anything)

To beat Baltimore you have to make some important stops on 3rd down - especially in the red zone.

It would blow up in their faces but it would sure be fun to watch.

If Kirk Cousins plays his cards right, Atlanta could be in the same boat as Denver this year. Cousins could be playing for a team for 1.5 million. Although a browns fan said cousins and stefanski know each other, but cousins could come to pittsburgh

We have to take care of our business tomorrow but this Baltimore team will be daunting. With that running game, they are built to travel well in January.

Let's just win tomorrow and worry about that when the time comes. Go bills!

If Fields or Richardson (for some reason) every become available, they’d be the perfect long term backups for Josh. I’d be very comfortable paying either decent money to be an insurance policy with similar skill sets

If we get them next week our best defense will be our offense just like Lions game will help a great deal if we can jump on them.

The Ravens defense is better than an injury ravaged Lions defense. I agree, should the Bills win tomorrow, that will be the approach to take but it won't be easy. They are the most complete team in the NFL right now.

Presuming you’re from that area given the name title. What’s the consensus there with the locals?

Do they want to give Fields a go or are content with another bridge guy like Wilson if they, which is likely, can’t get a young QB.

I have to say, I was surprised this season when Pittsburgh switch to Russell Wilson as their QB.  Fields has had his issues as a young QB, now in his 4th year.  Wilson is past his prime.  He'll make a play occasionally, but not often enough.  In the game tonight, the Steelers flat could not run the ball, and Wilson was entirely too pedestrian passing the ball.  They made a bit of a run in the third quarter, and Wilson made a few deep passes, but overall, I think the Steelers were entirely too predictable.  At least Fields gives them another set of legs to scramble a bit or move out of the pocket.  He may still have some upside if Tomlinson were to get him some good coaching and time to grow into the Steelers offense.

It's an interesting stat but I wonder how it correlates to what percentage of time the Ravens are tied or have the lead.

I know it’s 349 yards when behind vs the 1,572, level and in the lead.

the splits are 391 level, and 1181 ahead.

time wise idk that would be cool to see

The Bills won’t do it because they stick with scheme but I’m going 4-3 with Milano, Williams, Bernard on the field, I’m taking Hamlin off the field and I’m having Johnson play the 2nd safety but as a guy that still plays Nickle. Rapp is playing the high safety, especially with the likelihood Flowers isn’t playing.

That means Johnson can play the run and matchup with one of the TEs. Benford and Rasul on Bateman and Milano/Williams on the other TE

I did see us play a couple of snaps with three lbs, so you're closer to what might happen. I'd still like to see them put 5DL on the field to see what the Ravens would do. But it is too far out of their comfort zone to actually do it.

If the Bills win tomorrow, I hope they have to spend the entire week hearing about how unstoppable the Ravens are.

Better yes, but they aren't that great either.

I can’t remember The ravens ever getting a holding penalty. Lamar constantly has 6 or 7 second plays, guys holding like crazy…never once do you see it called. The league is obsessed with making you think the ravens and Lamar are the greatest show on turf. You can’t even say a bad thing about Lamar. It’s like nothing else I have ever seen. He is completely immune to criticism, it’s imperative to them that we think he’s the best. It’s sickening

They are better…pretty solid against the run and they rush the passer better.  I still do think teams can thrown on them.

What you can’t do is follow the Mike Tomlin blueprint and punt on 4th and short.   That killed Pittsburgh in the first half - especially since they couldn’t get Baltimore off the field without a TD

#1 in the league across the board since they cut Jackson, pushed KH to a double high FS look. I think it was week 11 the changes occurred. We also benched Marcus Williams.

The ultimate thing I heard from some talking head was that “I don’t want Jameis Winston as the starting QB of MY team, but I want him as the starting QB of a team”
