And he was the pick that I wanted, but I knew they wouldn't because he was in the slot. Personally, you pick the best receiver available when you're in need. Edited 6 hours ago by Silvercrw 2 1 Quote

So you have to pay top money from sub optimal production and that may legitmately be the reason the talent around him isn't it (although missing with the Johnson pick is part of that too). But he is still a good Quarterback. He just isn't a great one who elevates what is around him. He sucked tonight but if I was writing a list of the Chargers' problems he'd still be a fair way down it. But this is the Arizona, Dallas and soon SF problem - good QB's being paid like Great QB's. That's what I'm thinking. There won't be an easy path though id much prefer Houston outside in Buffalo next week - meaning Pittsburgh wins. Then Pittsburgh in Buffalo. 🥰🥰🥰 1 1 Quote
H2o Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Without Diggs and Dell, the Texans don't have enough on offense to beat the Chiefs. I think KC wins easy next week. 1 1 Quote

I think with their resources, though, they enjoy a little bit of boost in the direction of getting things accomplished in the NFL universe, like signings and stuff, so they’re still on their way up, to me. I think the fires are affecting the Chargers and Rams. I think the Chargers look awful today, played awful, coached awful. I won’t be surprised if the Rams lack energy in Glendale tomorrow. Being under prepped for football, and having your house on fire seem to me to not be mutually exclusive, or whatever. Maybe, I’m willing to give them a pass knowing how we were affected two years ago by those storms and Hamlin’s near death episode. Harbaugh was great in his first season and they started to rebuild the roster. My problem is that Herbert, who must be a leader and shrug off challenges swirling around the team, seemed lost and couldn’t play. He did the same thing against the Jags in his 1st playoff appearance and gagged up a 27 point lead. Maybe he needs more weapons or a better play caller but that was ugly. 1 Quote

I haven't looked at the stats for the others lately, but McConkey looks to be an excellent player. He was my top Bills target last April and seems like he's going to be even better than I thought. 1 1 Quote

Yeah, I know some members wanted him and I can understand why. Apart from scheme and the fact that we have Shakir, I also tend to think that the Bills brain trust feel that McConkey is closer to his ceiling than Coleman, who is clearly a lot more raw. For sure they knew McConkey was going to be a very good pro, I mean didn't everybody? They also favour bigger athletes with early picks Josh, Tremaine... 1 Quote
pigpen65 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Another pathetic performance by Herbert when the pressure is on. Quote

The Chargers could certainly help him more by giving him at least one credible outside receiver. The Texans played defense tonight in a way that "you can't beat us outside, McConkey can have his catches in the middle of the field and we will rally and tackle, that doesn't beat us." Of course they missed once with a bad angle and McConkey made them pay but otherwise the plan worked to the letter. I said it about the Bills pre Cooper, I say it about the Chargers now... you can't win in this league on offense if you can't threaten dow the football field on the outside. 1 Quote

Big Blitz Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago The Chargers lost as much if not more than the Texans won. Absolutely pathetic loss to a team down 2 of its top 3 WRs. Your Coach, OC, and QB absolutely imploded. Quote
Thrivefourfive Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Now Houston looks like a team 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 They looked dead for what, like 2.5 months. But with this… everyone’s happy again. The team might be shallow-immature emotionally. Quote
