KC will beat Houston by at least 17. Don’t want to see that matchup at all. Chargers or Pittsburgh would have a better chance at success than Houston can.

Pittsburgh and Houston would have next to zero chance in Kansas City.  Before this game, I was the most worried about the Chargers, but the first half put me at ease.  Still hope the Texans win, though.

Herbert stunk up the 1st half going 8 of 20 for 97 yards and an INT.  Stroud at least caught fire at the end of the half.  If Herbert doesn't get better in the 2nd half it's going to bring up some interesting questions going forward.

His Oline is stinking up the place too though. So that's definitely playing a part

Yup. Chargers had good situations in first half and Herbert did jack squat with them. He’s holding the ball forever and his deep throws have been weak. No plays using his legs. All around crap game by him.

Crazy how he did absolutely nothing in Buffalo.

Outside of the argument that he was coming back from an injury what else is there to explain why he was terrible here and so much better in LAC?

Even Settle is playing better in Hou.

Is it our Dline coach? Our scheme? Anyone ?

Personally I think its the fact that houston has two dynamic edge rushers who require extra blockers and get game planned for.

in buffalo ed oliver gets doubled because the edges are just good players and do not require anything special to account for them.

i honestly think its that simple.  The Bills need a dynamic guy on the edge and a big giant unmovable 340 LB trash can full of dirt at the 1 tech to shut down the run.  If Buffalo had these two things the defense would be among the best in the league.

Here is to hoping this draft brings us some great defensive players.

Yeah nobody is beating KC next week. Doesn’t matter who it is.

And yet someone on espn is saying, “I still have Herbert at number 4 on best QBs, slightly ahead of Josh Allen.”

Other than the 2 drops by his WR's, I'm not sure he's had time to "hold on to the ball forever". Texans Dline is getting through very quickly

Herbert’s just good enough to trick you into thinking he’s good enough.

Throwing a pretty ball every once in a while a great QB does not make.

Terrible 3rd down call. Blows my mind that every team in the nfl doesn't run the tush push there

I don’t understand why teams don’t put TE’s in to run the QB sneak. Strong hands. Big body. Doesn’t risk you getting your QB hurt.

I know it takes away the chance that the QB does a play-action, but 99 times out of 100 it’s just. plain-ole QB sneak.

You guys are 100% correct. The Tush Push is never a deceptive trick play. So that being the case, just put different personnel in there and make it as automatic as the Eagles and Bills do. No brainer.

Remember when Stroud named himself one of the top five QBs in the league?

Good times.

Every Chargers game I’ve watched this season no matter how much or how little of the game I watch Q. Johnson always seems to drop a pass or 2 or 3 or…

If he doesn't have the most drops in the NFL it's only because of his limited target count. Percentage-wise I can't imagine anyone with a higher drop percentage. It's incredible... and this guy was a high draft pick?

I think the media crowned Stroud a little too early.

People on this board were touting him too... just like they were writing off Bryce Young... and countless other examples of prematurely making judgements on players.

Herbert is the reason this isn’t 21-0

In the recent Chargers-Patriots live game thread, I was saying what a POS Herbert was and of course he ended up having one of the best games of his career.

But yes, this is the real Justin Herbert.

I actually had that surgically expunged from my hippocampus.

One thing that really grinds my gears about the modern NFL is how a player insists on the pointing motion every time he gets a f**** first down.

The Chargers need to invest heavily in outside WRs. Currently they have none on the roster worth talking about.

Whatever happened to DJ Chark?

Elite physical specimen, high draft pick, 1000 yard season for Jacksonville... and then nothing.

I disagree . He’s had time on many pass plays , esp in first quarter. Very slow to release and passes were broken up. Weak deep passes too.

Can someone tell me why Poona Ford couldn’t see the field with us? Is our ability to evaluate and develop talent at the DT level that bad? DT has been a consistent weakness on our D and this guy is balling out. From what I’ve read, he’s been pretty consistent all year too. So why didn’t he do a thing with us?
