I said earlier I wanted Houston to win because they were worse. I'm not so sure of that now. Chargers do not look good.

Herbert stunk up the 1st half going 8 of 20 for 97 yards and an INT.  Stroud at least caught fire at the end of the half.  If Herbert doesn't get better in the 2nd half it's going to bring up some interesting questions going forward.

These two defenses are great and filled with so much more talent than ours. Aggressive schemes too 

 

That said, there’s also no way our D would be allowing some of those huge plays, which is the one benefit of it.

Beane and McDermott are always on guys to slim down and get quicker.

 

Sadly the philosophy doesn't seem to allow for a car sized DT 

 

They aren't alone... Lots of teams prize quickness and speed on defense

it’s scheme. When they have these big guys, they don’t play them the right way. I don’t get it, but would love to see a major philosophy change on the d line.
