@boyst picked up some 3rd row behind the Bills bench during the first quarter for $22/each today.

I hadn't done the full ballsy move in a while but get there and buy the cheapest tickets available before the game begins to see the start then in the first wait until seats drop below $50 per and move up.

I did it at concerts mostly.

Bills "fans" try to make money on tickets.  It's become a joke.  Being in the stadium vs the Bengals 2 years ago was embarrassing.  The place had at least 20k Cin fans there.

I would expect over 20k Balt fans this week.

This is embarrassing. Had they have lost and 50% of the fans were Broncos (they didn't travel well, but hypothetically), it would be a terrible look. The same people begging the Bills not to move to Toronto or LA are the same fans selling their tickets to a playoff game for $50.

Pre-game, when the Broncos came out for warm-ups, the cheering was so loud, I had to look and see which Bills players were coming out at the same time.  The answer? None.

At first look, tickets for the divisional vs Ravens on secondary sites are ( not surprisingly) much more expensive than WC game. Hopefully Bills fans that held out through first round buy up most of these ducats.

Yeah, that rubs us the wrong way. Yet, Bills fans invade much better than they get invaded ha ha. LA moving to Arizona barely changes a thing for the "homefield crowd advantage". The LA and Bengals teams have almost half the crowd rooting for the visitors all the time. It must get tiresome. GO BILLS

For those too young to remember: The comeback game was blacked out because it didn't sell out.

After consecutive years of playoffs, the wild card game isn't much of an attraction.

It was blacked out because it didn’t sell out IN TIME (Thursday, I think). It was essentially sold out by game time.

Have to look at it with context though. Lower bowl Bills side going for $325 and up ( plus fees so around $500 per)these were around $159 plus for WC. Now that we know it’s a Sunday nite that will put some downward pressure on prices. Nite games are always a tough sell ( people have to work next am , commute to and from game etc). We also know there will not be the relatively mild January weather we had yesterday. Still, they are more expensive but they’re not going to be triple the price or anything.

Naw, there were still tickets left.

6:30 is a merciful start time, rather than 8:15 like SNF usually is.

But I go by cheapest ticket to get in, and that price is only $30-40 more than the WC game right now.

Most Bills fans have moved out of New York and now live in other states, which makes it easier for them to take over other NFL stadiums. There are probably fewer than 100 people born in Colorado who currently live in WNY, while there are likely over 40,000 people in the greater Denver area with ties to Buffalo.

Even during regular season home games, a significant number of Bills fans reside out of state and plan their trips to see family and friends around the schedule of a Bills home game.

Okay, but to me it’s not the best benchmark. Only so much you can get for the cheap seats.

To me the cheapest seats tell you about demand. You couldn't get into the KC game for under $400! To see prices under $180 for a 2nd round playoff, one that is a matchup for the ages, is a head scratcher.

Yup, I was surprised at the amount available and some of the prices they’re listed at. Hopefully some of the better seats drop in price as I’m not shelling out $700+ a ticket for the 3 of us to attend. 250-350 is doable.

Might be the 300’s this time 😬

I may delete this later because it is an invaluable secret and i don't want people stealing this to take my chances away but here is how you do it.

Right now lower bowl behind the bench between $400 and $2000. My indicator that there is going to be a huge price drop by gameday is that several seats are available in row 4-8 are more expensive then front row and the first 3 rows. That means the front row guys are already lowering their tickets and the others in the middle are not but they will. My favorite seat right now is $630 seat in section 134. Every other seat is much lower. That guy is going to be one of the pivotal people: will he lower his seats below the average of those around soon to unload them and undercut the market? Or will he leave them at a high price?

If he keeps them at a high price just not paying attention or not caring he will end up just like the guy who refuses to take a loss on the tickets he bought at face ($400). When the game morning comes someone will still have their tickets way over priced. Right now I speculate that the game day morning between the 30's Bills side tickets to be $240 or less on average with over 300 tickets available now and over 100 by that point.

So, by noon Sunday people will enable SH autopricing to be on to lower and manage the sales of their tickets. The price after the even begins drops at almost $2 per every 5 minutes - if not more.

If I was going this weekend I would wait until 12:45 right by the gate and buy the cheapest possible upper deck seat for what will probably be $50. I will make the game by kickoff.

I will continuously watch the prices for the premier seats and by 1:45 the tickets will be less than $100.

I would have a $400 seat for $150.

I paid $180 with the face value ticket and the $33 upgrade ticket I bought row 3 (which is 1) at the 48 yard line.

If I would have waited until a last minute ticket I could have got 300 level for $17 to see the beginning then buy the upgrade seat.

************do not try to poach seats doing this to see where someone isn't sitting and avoid paying by just moving up to a seat you know is open. people in that area who are regulars anyone else finding out what you are doing can alert security and you can get kicked out of the game***********

What he said.  I do something similar with concerts, buying the cheapest I can to get inside the pavilion/facility, then start watching that afternoon to see if anything closer drops significantly in price before or during the concert.

is wild card fatigue starting to settle in and people are saving $ for divisonal round and beyond? just checked the bills ticketmaster site, there's still over 300 seats left direct through the box office, there's close to a couple thousand seats on resale for less than $200, and some are selling for less than $100 (including fees). there's a bunch of lowers still selling for less than $150 and 45-yard line lower level for $245. i'd guess these will be even cheaper overnight/tomorrow.

the forecast looks pretty good for WNY in mid january. if you're on the fence, this seems like an overly fair price point for a playoff game.

Not sure about the stub hub prices, but arent there usually seats that open up close to the game as the opposing team returns unused tickets slated for them?  This isnt rhetorical, I legitimately wondering, but I seem to remember something about that.
