I suspect a lot of older STH headed south after Christmas, a lot of younger ones are broke after Christmas, and a lot of the rest are waiting for next week…. I waited too many years for a home playoff game to happen, don’t want to miss any of them

Alright, I’m not going looking for the clip, but does this not remind anyone of Eddie Murphy in Trading Places??? Pork bellies and orange futures?

Bills is not in a. great secondary market for casual fans to buy and go to the game.  We will expect to see additional Broncos fans in the stadium

You really see this in every stadium these days.

Why are fans looking past this game? I'd much rather go to a game we're more likely to win than lose like next week. Also, weather looks perfect for a mid January game.

I don’t think fans are looking past it, just a lot of economic decisions being made.

What decision? Tickets are selling for $100, so why sell them you're not recouping any money lol

They were already purchased as “ extra” tix by ST holders in hope of financing a part of their overall purchase. However, many non -ST fans are waiting for the next round to spend their playoff $. That lower demand has led to lower prices, but of course sellers are still trying to recoup some of that money. Many are probably attending the game with their own tix, just selling the additional seats they bought as an investment. Before the opponent was known and date was set, lower bowl seats were listed on resale sites for $500.

Holy jinx thread Batman

To give my opinion anyway

Likely a combo of a few things

Wild card fatigue

Season ticket holders buy up all the extras - thus resulting in non season ticket holders not to be prepared or have planned to go. Especially right after the holidays

It's January late season games are always cheap. While tomorrow is gonna be a good winter day weather wise, it's still 30 degrees out and that still sucks

I think that there are several reasons for that:

1- Buffalo is a very small market

2- A lot of secondary market buyers live outside of the Buffalo area

3- The problem with NFL playoffs is that any game is official (opponents, date and time) only 5-6 days before the game so most of the potential buyers, who live outside of the Buffalo area have very little time to organize their group including hotel and transportation.

4- Not many are excited about the Broncos vs Bills matchup. We expect an easy win and we are already looking forward to the Ravens - Bills matchup next week.

5- It's cold in Orchard Park in January and it's not an indoor stadium.

6- Canadians are a big chunk of the secondary market buyers and we are totally killed by the 47-48 per cent current exchange rate that our credit card will charge us on all of our expenses going to the game (Tickets, hotel, parking, food drinks, gas, tolls, etc.)
