PromoTheRobot Posted January 12 Posted January 12 There is a playoff fatigue. It was like this after 3 Super Bowl appearances in the 90s. 1 Quote

Awwufelloff Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Why are fans looking past this game? I'd much rather go to a game we're more likely to win than lose like next week. Also, weather looks perfect for a mid January game. 1 Quote

Tickets are selling for $100, so why sell them you're not recouping any money lol They were already purchased as “ extra” tix by ST holders in hope of financing a part of their overall purchase. However, many non -ST fans are waiting for the next round to spend their playoff $. That lower demand has led to lower prices, but of course sellers are still trying to recoup some of that money. Many are probably attending the game with their own tix, just selling the additional seats they bought as an investment. Before the opponent was known and date was set, lower bowl seats were listed on resale sites for $500. Quote
Cheektowaga Chad Posted January 12 Posted January 12 Holy jinx thread Batman To give my opinion anyway Likely a combo of a few things Wild card fatigue Season ticket holders buy up all the extras - thus resulting in non season ticket holders not to be prepared or have planned to go. Especially right after the holidays It's January late season games are always cheap. While tomorrow is gonna be a good winter day weather wise, it's still 30 degrees out and that still sucks Quote
Curt Posted January 12 Posted January 12 I think that there are several reasons for that: 1- Buffalo is a very small market 2- A lot of secondary market buyers live outside of the Buffalo area 3- The problem with NFL playoffs is that any game is official (opponents, date and time) only 5-6 days before the game so most of the potential buyers, who live outside of the Buffalo area have very little time to organize their group including hotel and transportation. 4- Not many are excited about the Broncos vs Bills matchup. We expect an easy win and we are already looking forward to the Ravens - Bills matchup next week. 5- It's cold in Orchard Park in January and it's not an indoor stadium. 6- Canadians are a big chunk of the secondary market buyers and we are totally killed by the 47-48 per cent current exchange rate that our credit card will charge us on all of our expenses going to the game (Tickets, hotel, parking, food drinks, gas, tolls, etc.) 1 Quote

T master Posted January 12 Posted January 12 18 hours ago, beebe said: is wild card fatigue starting to settle in and people are saving $ for divisonal round and beyond? just checked the bills ticketmaster site, there's still over 300 seats left direct through the box office, there's close to a couple thousand seats on resale for less than $200, and some are selling for less than $100 (including fees). there's a bunch of lowers still selling for less than $150 and 45-yard line lower level for $245. i'd guess these will be even cheaper overnight/tomorrow. the forecast looks pretty good for WNY in mid january. if you're on the fence, this seems like an overly fair price point for a playoff game. This may be part of the reason why they went with a smaller stadium meaning less seating . Back in the day the Rich Stadium, The Ralph, Highmark, was close to 80k seats i think i've heard the new stadium is around 60k plus standing areas which might be easier to sell out more than this stadium . Winning the division is good but it’s kind of expected. Hosting the 7th best AFC team is only so exciting locally the threat of being picked for Monday night makes saying “screw it, I’ll fly in Friday-Monday” not even a safe bet anymore. the other factors include maybe Denver not traveling super well on 7 days notice even in a best case, but the world kind of being on fire since the year kicked off - big storms, snow in the south, the actual fires, NYD stuff… so even some bills fans around the country aren’t as quick to come in. 3 hours ago, ajmac said: Really, you are trying to correct him, and you make that many spelling errors your self. What about the people who bought tickets at the start of the playoff drought because the team only had 25K season ticket holders and was probably going to move if people didn't step up? Quote
