uticaclub Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) Other than Allen who deserves any first team votes? Who would you pick on the Bills over any of the all pros? The reason Allen gets MVP consideration is because we are a 3 win team without Allen and B’more would still be a playoff team without Jackson. Edited 5 hours ago by uticaclub Quote
LEBills Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Sad for Josh who deserves the MVP But if he indeed doesn’t get it, only Mahomes and his contract with the devil has won both MVP and the Super Bowl in the same year since 1999 so I’m a bit relieved there. 1 Quote
ShakAttack Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago (edited) For the record, Adrian Peterson was the last 2nd team all-pro to win MVP (in 2012). EDIT- Appears I was incorrect here. ChatGPT / AI failed. Edited 5 hours ago by ShakAttack 1 1 Quote

Kind of an admission through the voting process that they both deserved it but Josh slightly edged him out for the more prestigious award. That's the hope anyways. That was my prediction earlier. 24 minutes ago, Coach Tuesday said: I don’t know that I realized Marlon Humphrey is now a slot corner? The Bills taught them that. Their defense was quite bad early in the season until they put Humphrey on Shakir. He went back to outside and they were bad again. Quote

There’s no way I see Lamar winning 3 before he wins a SB. Plus, and I hate it because it dismisses the rest of the team, most of the national media thinks the rest of the Bills are bums. Not being one of the two best at your position, hardly makes one a bum. Which players should be dropped from the current list, and which Bills should be added in their place? Quote
H2o Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago This is good. Let them keep p*ssing Josh off and downplaying his accomplishments. We all know how much more dangerous he becomes when he feels slighted. This is the perfect time for this info to be coming out. 2 Quote
JustHewIt Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Whether the selections are justified or not this is absolutely fuel to be poured all over everything. I hope the team is absolutely frothing and out for blood Sunday. GO BILLS! Quote

DapperCam Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago The Bills have the #2 scoring offense in the league and only 2 players on offense even got any votes. Dawkins and Brown could have been 2nd team all pro in their positions for sure. Meanwhile Baltimore had 7 players on offense receive votes and Detroit had 5 players on offense receive votes. Quote

QB Bills Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago At this point I don't even want him to win it. So much nonsense had been spewed about this, a lot of it with racial undertones, that if he does end up the MVP, he's never going to get credit for it and many of these same idiots on tv will take every opportunity to mention that "he didn't deserve it back in '24 anyway". Let yet another snub fuel the fire. It's worked for him before. 1 3 Quote

I don't think Jackson getting it is a joke. He had an incredible year. But I think what Josh did this year under expectations of a step back and with an under talented receiving corps was going to get the recognition it deserved. I think there is a chance the MVP vote is tighter than the all pro. But I fear it will still be in Lamar's favour. 2 Quote

Lamar Jackson is very popular in the media. Many of the voters are inclined to will Jackson into being the greatest QB in NFL history, whether it is true or not. Here is the list of voters for last year. I couldn't find this year's voters in the few minutes that I searched: https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/heres-the-full-list-of-the-50-ap-awards-voters I'm not a fan of many of these voters. Some of them are ex-players who got their jobs because of their names, not because of football analysis. Some of them are good. Many of them were huge Josh Allen critics until it became popular to view Josh as elite. I think Jackson is going to win it. At least he had an incredible year this year. He didn't deserve it last year. Edited 5 hours ago by MJS 3 Quote

Why is there anger towards Lamar? For getting better every year? For proving how dumb (and some racist) the takes were of him having to switch positions in the nfl after winning a Heisman? Lamar has the second best qb rating ever. Allen has been insane and gets better every year. I would take Allen over Lamar but both are damn good qbs who do it their own way after being seriously doubted. I get waiting to hammer the Ravens when we play them. But this “rivalry” some Bills fans have against Lamar because he’s in the MVP conversation is dumb. 17 minutes ago, uticaclub said: Other than Allen who deserves any first team votes?
