At this point why don't the Browns just admit how foolish it was to sign the guy and pay him the way they did and just cut him ? He's not going to be able to come back after this and be anything at all that resembles his performance before his down fall started and not many would want him the way he looked after coming to the Browns . Karma has definitely surrounded every one involved in this situation !!! Quote

That’s actually a wild admission. Wow 7 hours ago, C.Biscuit97 said: He was a legit borderline top 5 qb. But I don’t get why you make that trade with all that baggage, give up that many picks, and then give him all that money? Even if he was awesome, if I was a Browns fan, it would be hard for me to cheer for a guy who I think is a pervert. now, he’s just a crappy, overpaid, injury prone pervert. The Browns had a nice roster too. They had to give him the contract otherwise he wouldn’t have come. He was locked into going to Atlanta until the Browns made a godfather offer. If Deshaun Watson went to Atlanta, he’s probably been to a superbowl right now. Because the Browns got him, he became a disaster. Thats browns football baby 1 Quote
H2o Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM Posted Thursday at 04:13 PM https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/44615336/deshaun-watson-everyone-doubting-believe-myself Quote In a video posted to Instagram on Wednesday, which documents his rehab at the Browns' practice facility, Watson said, "Everyone's doubting me. Everyone don't believe in me. Everyone don't think that I can get back to where I was. But I know and I believe the work that I put in, what I believe in myself. The peace that I've been channeling these last couple months, I know I'm going to be way better than before." He's turned into a bum QB. He'll never be the same, more or less better than before. 1 Quote
The Cincinnati Kid Posted Thursday at 04:31 PM Posted Thursday at 04:31 PM It is only a desperate team that brings him in, like the Giants with Wilson this year. And even in that kind of situation, I don’t know how many teams would be able to stomach it. He clearly is a problem, diva, and more or less unmotivated player. Talk is cheap. Quote

Cleveland thought they found their franchise QB I still maintain that even if you were willing to look past the all the allegations, the biggest red flag was Watson sitting out an entire season after signing a huge contract extension the year prior. He was pissed about who they hired at GM (he wanted Omar Khan or Louis Riddick) and whined about it and ended up getting David Culley fired as HC after one year because of his refusal to play. He quit on his team, left all his teammates out to dry, didn't honor his contract while creating a huge distraction with his sexual assault cases. It was the most selfish I can ever remember any player being. Talented player, but selfish beyond belief. Exactly zero surprise he sucked in Cleveland 1 Quote

It was the most selfish I can ever remember any player being. Talented player, but selfish beyond belief. Exactly zero surprise he sucked in Cleveland The year Watson sat out as a Texan was due to an agreement with the team to do so. They didn’t want him to play - and neither did the league. That all said, your point about him missing so much time clearly hurt his performance on the field. He was not up to date on widespread defensive changes. He also was operating under incredible pressure due to his contract and the very well-deserved public humiliation and vitriol. Not to overstate the obvious, but it was incredibly stupid of the Browns to give that kind of person in that situation that contract. They’ve deservedly paid the price for it. The Texans did a fantastic job of finding a sucker to pay a ransom to take Watson off their hands. 1 1 Quote

Plus still owed 43 mil. 2026 not much better at 120 dead cap spread over 2 years 2026 and 27. 1 1 Quote
folz Posted Thursday at 05:26 PM Posted Thursday at 05:26 PM So, if Cleveland can't get out of any of the contract and Deshaun never plays another snap for Cleveland: The Browns will have paid Watson approx. $410,000.00 per snap. Almost half a million per snap! For comparison, the Bills have paid Josh (over the same 3-year stretch), approx. $65,000.00 per snap. (that's on his second <big> contract---6-yrs, $258 million) So, for every single Watson snap (money-wise), we got 6.31 Josh Allen snaps. And obviously, Josh already has better per snap stats, but now times that by 6.31. Tough to be a Browns fan. Quote
Mat68 Posted Thursday at 05:29 PM Posted Thursday at 05:29 PM Worst contract in sports. NFL PA ruined fully guaranteed contracts for decades due to that deal. 2 Quote
