There's a better chance now that Lewis Cine got poached by Phili. But I still think you're going to need to see multiple Safety injuries before he sees the field (and I wouldn't root for that). Cole Bishop has looked better with each start. He may be pushing Damar for playing time. And I think they'd sooner turn to Cam Lewis (definitely) and maybe even Kareem Jackson (as he got the nod in multiple weeks with Hyde on the roster) before him. the Joker in the decision making deck: Punt returns and whether or not Codrington can go 1 Quote

They aren't going to have 34 year old, damage necked Micah Hyde returning Punts for us. He'd essentially be a Fair Catcher and there's any number of players who are suiting up on Game Day that can do that. Even if they went to the Practice Squad for a Returner, they'd go to KJ Hamler or Daequan Hardy first - as they were the ones doing the job in the Pre-Season before we traded for Codrington. Let's Go Buffalo Posted Saturday at 09:12 PM Posted Saturday at 09:12 PM Thanks for the Kyle Williams uploaded video as well. I'm pretty sure Kyle still has a few games left in the tank! Go Bills! Quote
JohnNord Posted Saturday at 09:13 PM Posted Saturday at 09:13 PM Kyle Williams has the wit, charisma and delivery of a southern preacher with that famous speech. IOW McD's words don't mean he won't be playing. I mean, if they didn't plan on him playing, they could have just hired him as an assistant DB/S coach and he would have had the same impact. Kareem Jackson elevated over Hyde once again. This time in a game with the season on the line. Edited Saturday at 10:58 PM by BillsFanForever19 1 Quote

He is a practice squad player. It isn't like he was signed to the 53. 4 minutes ago, T.E. said: He will make an appearance in the postseason - on the field. Maybe he will, but that doesn't mean he was brought in as anything more than a veteran leader in the secondary room. If he makes an appearance, it is out of respect for what he has done. Heck, maybe Hyde doesn't want to play. Maybe he wanted to help behind the scenes and keep his neck healthy. 1 Quote
muppy Posted Saturday at 11:24 PM Posted Saturday at 11:24 PM this OP made me tear up and I was not thinking cry. But I did. anybody else? Kyle Williams is a WNY treasure. GO BILLS pfft I'm getting soft in my old age lmao very nice work. Quote
Albany,n.y. Posted Saturday at 11:26 PM Posted Saturday at 11:26 PM I know it's unlikely, but wouldn't it be great if they put Kyle on the Wall Sunday. If not, they should announce he's going there next season. No need to wait for the new stadium. 1 Quote

He has been on the field - in street clothes on the sidelines. This is a possible one and done situation. The season is on the line this week. And with the season on the line and needing a Safety - they still elevated Kareem Jackson over Hyde. You think McDermott has already guaranteed victory in his head and is just saving him for later? That's insane cope. Edited Saturday at 11:39 PM by BillsFanForever19 Quote

Name a single time a vet signed on for the playoffs to only hang out in the practice squad. Has never happened. He was promised a chance at getting back to the field at the very least. Quote

Considering no one on defense is questionable, I’m guessing Jackson’s elevation was a “thank you” of sorts so he can get a game check. I’m guessing Virgil is insurance if Codrington can’t go. Not sure if he returns kicks, but he can at least give them some reps at WR in the event that Shakir takes returner duties. IMO I don’t think either of them play. It is funny that both were broncos last season Quote

I don't pay attention to every team's Practice Squad, so I can't refute the stat about a Practice Squad player brought in for the Playoffs. But the point remains the same. The only way this makes sense is if we 100% know we've already won this game. We don't. And Sean McDermott isn't that cocky to *assume* victory over anyone. The season could be over tomorrow. We wanted to elevate a Safety tomorrow in the Playoffs, this could be our ONLY opportunity to play him, and we still decided to sit him and elevate Jackson.
