Do cyborgs have biometrics?

The thing with Allen is actually has too much of a personality to be a cyborg. Now Russell Wilson or Justin Herbert? 🤔

Good to see Aikman own being wrong about Josh.  But to be fair, I think Josh is a unicorn in that department.  I can't think of anyone else doing it before.

I readily own doubting Josh. I doubted that Bills would be competent enough to develop a qb like Allen. Salute to him for making huge changes that 99% of qbs could never do. Never been happier to wrong.

Same here.  I didn't want him because I didn't think there was any way he could become accurate since I've never seen it done before, at least in the 30 years I've been watching football, regardless of the franchise.

It's funny, the thing that made Baker the first pick of the draft was how many reps he had taken at QB throughout his life. HS, College, camps, etc. Allen was thousands of reps behind him. But if Allen had all those reps, he never would have been able to switch his throwing motion so quickly (if at all.) It's the fact that he didn't have them that allowed him to do so.

What makes Josh special is that he actually surpasses his measurables in game situations.  How many QB's have won Angry Runs running over a LB?  His speed is listed at 4.75 40, but he seems to exceed that in game situations.  He makes throws with his arm talent that have coaches going NO! NO! NO! - NICE PASS.

Have you seen the Tin Man lately? Oil my ass. The Rock used to look like Kevin Hart.

Oh, and steroids. For machines, it’s new. Can’t leave that out.

Same Josh to me read as a guy in college who relied only on his physical skills and would never develop into a guy who'd learn to take what a defense give him nor nuances of reading defense. It felt just like the anti Tom Brady where Josh Rosen seemed the more NFL ready guy. Kudos to us getting the right despite my thoughts on draft day.

His Combine run was very awkward.  He probably really runs in the mid 4.6s.

That’s a great point. Also because Allen was never a star or played in an elite program, he has no ego like some of the big name college guys. He was a mold of clay that was willing to listen.

And those type of prospects fail 99%of the time. I hate the high upside, not great production prospects. I remember saying we expect a guy to be better in the AFC East than he was in the Mountain West? I couldn’t believe how dumb that sounded and the Bills/ Allen made me the dumb one for once!!!

and I don’t care. I still think Rosen could have had a better career if he didn’t get drafted into the worst situation for a rookie qb.

It’s insane how much faster/ athletic he looks in pads than he did running in shorts. It makes no sense. Josh Alien.

Allen and Baker both only started 2 years in high school

Baker walked on at Texas tech left walked on Oklahoma and became a star in college

His chip on his shoulder was also a major reason why he exploded onto the scene because he was also forgotten about

He did have a few offers to small schools but every major Texas school wouldn't give him an offer either just like Josh and the California schools

Good find. There is some levelheaded skepticism in there but also some really embarrassing takes. It's funny in hindsight because in that game Allen had Cody Ford, Devin Singletary, and Duke Williams as primary starters. He had barely learned the position yet and he had backups or worse on the field with him.

Remember the Debbie Downer thread recently? If you want to see who some of those are, go look at the list of posters who voted "No" in that poll. A good chunk of those are the Debbie Downers, haha. And today they are still posting negatively. Some things never change.

It's a good theory but I don't agree.  Josh is singularly dedicated to doing what it takes to win.  No matter what his background,  if his accuracy was struggling in the NFL he would have taken the same thing to fix.

To illustrate my point, look how much Josh has changed from hero ball downfield to reading the D and spreading it around.  The last time he tried hero ball was in the Houston game against Diggs.  That style was ingrained in him and got him to Wyoming but he transformed himself.
