dorquemada Posted January 9 Posted January 9 I was a huge fan as a player. Didn't he have a nasty series of concussions towards the end? Or maybe a neck injury? A severe concussion would explain the desire to work in the Jets org anyways 2 8 Quote

I think that was around 2009. He was an analyst for ESPN at the time. Always had lots of respect for Chris. Currently the only Bills jersey I own. Might want to take on the challenge in NJ but seems to have it good in Detroit. 3 Quote

I was proud of his choice, but I’m sure the concussions and other matter also contributed to it. The bottom line is is he’s been in some way in the front office for awhile, so if deserved, good for him. I’m a fan as well at least as a player. 1 Quote

He had a neck injury but could have rehabbed and returned; at the same time his wife had breast cancer and they had 4 young children and he chose to be with them instead. Her name is on the breast cancer hospital here at Ohio state. 2 4 Quote

stevewin Posted January 9 Posted January 9 My favorite Speilman story when he was with the Bills is he said when he was at home or anywhere he would always go up and down stairs sideways to work on his lateral movement. Can you imagine? 3 Quote

L Ron Burgundy Posted January 9 Posted January 9 He is too competent to get hired. Who's the gm equivalent to Rex? That's their guy. 2 Quote

I think he could do a good job as a leader, direction setter and cohesion builder but not sure he is a talent evaluator. 2 Quote
