Killer snowstorm here in Dallas - 3 inches of snow expected!

Yeah, schools in Atlanta are closed tomorrow already. We're expecting the same storm.

3 inches of snow. In Buffalo they wouldn't even acknowledge that as a dusting.

I've driven through a couple of inches of snow in Dallas, and I tell ya, I'd much rather drive in snow in Buffalo. It seemed much more slippery. I have a theory it has to do with the asphalt compound. Heat vs cold. that kind of thing.

So, I’m guessing that you DO believe in space, and stuff like that. You seem to have a very scientific mind. 

 

I had heard that we might get a little something in ATL, but I had no idea they closed school already. Given the local track record, that’s probably for the best.  😂

We’ve been hearing all about the “storm” bc Buckeye fans are headed down there for the cotton bowl tomorrow night. People wondering if it will impact how many go down there. While it’s nothing like Buffalo, we’ve had 10 inches of snow in cbus with wind and temps in the teens for about a week so not deterring anyone here.

And in Buffalo they have salt trucks, and plows. And people have snow tires, and know how to steer into a skid. And kids have winter jackets, and hats, gloves etc.

 

Folks just arent prepared for ANY amount of snow down here, and frankly it would be a big waste to try to be ready for something that only happens every few years.

 

I'm glad they closed the schools. I saw way too many kids without coats when I was dropping my daughter off at school today and it was 29 out.

I agree with you. Same with me in NJ. We know how to handle the snow very well but with places that aren't used to it that is a different story even for a small amount of snow.

That was the biggest joke of a “storm” I’ve ever seen. There were warnings that travel would be impossible. I had off so I Ubered Thursday and Friday. Everyone I picked up was shocked that people were actually driving in what i don’t even know if it could be considered a dusting.

 

It didn’t get below freezing until the storm already passed.

They have dusting of snow and ice storms every year. It gets cold here. Every Jan and feb this happens.

Didn’t even get a half an inch in most of the DFW area. West of ft worth had the most that I saw and they may have had an inch. You could still see grass.
