He’s lost a step and isn’t the #1 they thought/hoped they were getting. He’s a solid vet who’s reliable, but no longer “special”, he was simply attractive bc of the contract. Cleveland sold us a lemon. Cooper is not what he use to be. 3 1 2 Quote

The days of force-feeding WR's are over with. This. and this is why we destroyed the maybe the best D in the league. 1 1 Quote

The Bills acquired Cooper for peanuts on the dollar and a 3rd RD pick in 2025 in which we have: A 1st, 2 seconds, and 3 fourth round picks. Beane took a low cost stab at improving the obvious weak point of the roster. With the youth of the roster, 3 early picks, a relatively good cap position, and the fact that this season’s finish is yet to be written, is all a reason to think that this was a wise move. Ofc hindsight will be 20/20 if they lose and the box score is in your narrative, but that isn’t how front offices work. it is constant asset and risk management. 💯 would rather the GM that swings and misses than that which strikes out looking…especially when it was a low cost move and reinforcements are already on the way in the off season. Beane has had some misses but my god he gets hammered on here and is no doubt a top 5-7 GM. 4 1 Quote

I had originally type “one of the best” but went with “the best” to see which troll fish would bite. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-defense-rankings/ 1st in epa on drop backs and against the rush. There are metrics that suggest they are the best. Others that suggest they aren’t. Either way- mission accomplished Quote

JMM Posted Monday at 08:09 PM Posted Monday at 08:09 PM I still feel we are going to need Cooper to step up if we are going to get to and win the SB. If we can get him to take the top off of a defense a few times it still would be valuable. 1 1 Quote
