Codrington been a quiet good player for us this season, I'd hate to lose him in the playoffs but curious to see how well Daequan Hardy do in same role.

I think Hardy is a slight downgrade as a punt returner, but much better at cornerback

Is that Codrington's position?  I love that dude as a returner, cant believe the Jets let us have him, and I hope we keep him around.  Id enjoy some stability back there again!!!

Yeah they gave Codrington snaps at CB in games where they pulled the starters. The Jets game (where Garrett Wilson caught a TD on him) and one other besides the Patriots game (want to say Jacksonville?). He’s not good enough to play corner, should’ve kept him solely on returns.

I think it was 50/50 he'd be back vs he was actually dead and the Bills were keeping it a secret

I really hope he doesn't have to carry extra emotional weight on his shoulders into the playoffs. Wishing his family the best regardless.

Agreed.  Some get so myopic on him missing a meaningless game, when speculating of course, but a loss issue, or a family matter that are not our business.  This game matters.

 

I knew if we were patient, he would do the right thing.  He wants to win as much as all of us.  We are favored by 8.5 pts. So the guys in the desert seem to think we’ll win.  I don’t disagree, but might be closer than 8.5.

 

The only winning team record is the win over my Bucs who finished 10-7.  They lost to every playoff or even team with a winning record.  We on the other hand beat the SB champs in the Chiefs, the hottest team this year in the Lions, and it’s important to consider the 49ers were in the SB last year.  Let’s not forget the 10-7 Hawks.  We beat them as well.  We are battle tested and should win this week, but probably by 3-4.

If the Bills were confident in Daequan Hardy for the punt return role, I don't think they would have traded for Codrington, even for just a swap of late round 2026 picks.
