Apparently, Belichick has a 10-million-dollar buyout to get out of his UNC contract to go back to the NFL making this a possibility.

I'm sure no bank would ever be interested in loaning a person who owns a team in a huge market money in a league that prints money...how would they ever get repaid??

Belichick insulted Woody Johnson in public — over the top criticism (albeit deserved) — and still called the Jets to see if they wanted to hire him. It’s like saying “You’re a trash owner. Now hire me.” Dude is desperate.

 

He also reportedly burned bridges with Kraft and Jarod Mayo.

 

If he walked out on UNC it just shows how pathetic he is. Ego maniac. Can’t let go of the limelight.  Guess he needs to impress his 18 year old girlfriend.

Of course the dynamic would be reversed now with Tommy hiring him. At the end of the day, Bill doesn't want to coach against the GOAT HC in his own division.

Do you know if this has been proven?  I can’t imagine Belichick approaching the Jets about a job after that slight. Unless his balls are bigger than his ego….

It was reported by Cimini.  Seems legit.

He’s just feeling bad that he has to sit at the kids’ table.  It’s driving him mad that one of the 32 wouldn’t jump at him. I guess he’s got a major chip on his shoulder. Control freak. Burns bridges. My way or the highway.
 

I look forward to him being hired and flaming out one last time. He’ll then be forced to retire and work in the media he hates so much. Before being glazed into the hall of fame and then everyone will pretend that his temper tantrum never happened.
