no no....you're not pining over his cruel fate.  it cut you deep, didn't it doc? lol

Anyway,  the  year the Bills let BoJoGo, he led the NFL in yards per punt,  4th in net and was 7th inside the 20%.  Too expensive?  He got $1 million from the Packers for a year--essentially vet minimum.  His avg annual now is #10 for Punters (Martin is very close at 12).

His "cruel fate" was getting another chance in the NFL. Yet another thing I told you would happen (besides getting this joke of a case tossed) that you continually disputed.  And to top it off, he's punting for the Chefs. lol

Again a punter for a team like the Bills is essentially meaningless as long as he can hold, get the ball inside the 20 and not get punts blocked.  Camarda fits the bill and is cheap as well.

Of course he found a second chance (this IS the NFL, after all)----at Crack Daddy's Felon Halfway House!    Luckily (for him) he committed his crime in Cali or he would be Punting for the Green Machine.  Anyway--he's at league average for net per Punt and below average inside the 20.  He's already a mediocrity. He had a bigger impact at Prom last year.

Camarda is a below average Punter (what bill does that fill?)---so why is it important that he's "cheap"?  His last annual average is more than Bojo got when he left Buffalo.  Punter salaries are negligible anyway.  If teams felt the way you do, they would all draft Punters every 3-4 years and cut them...to save all that Punter second contract money..lol.

Doubtful on the bolded.  In 38 states the age of consent is 16 or 17.  In the other states there are exceptions for cases like this.  Again the statutory rapes laws weren't create for girls like her and no prosecutor after learning the mountains of evidence against her would have taken this dog**** of a case to trial.  You just believed the initial narrative, entrenched yourself in your position before bothering to learn the facts and can't admit you were wrong.  Like you always do.

Araiza has virtually the same numbers as Bojo. lol

And Camada's net his previous years was the same as Bojo while his inside the 20% this year is about the same.  His net took a hit this year because of a punt return for a TD.  You likely won't even notice a difference.

no here's an interesting legal theory!  where do you come up with this stuff? lol

Legal ages of consent by definition are just that--children under this legislated age are legally considered incapable of giving consent, so "consensual sex" is not a valid defense.  He didn't get charged because in Cali, they allow for a "mistake of age" defense--no other reason.  He had sex with a minor and used a technical defense to avoid charges.  Guilty parties get off on such all the time.  That's what I have pointed out to you....

Camarda couldn't buy a drop inside the 20 his first  2 years.  Last year, in his last 9 games, he Punted 40 times and got 9 inside the 20.

It's not a "theory."  You just admitted that California feels the same way.  You believing "well she was 17 and that's all I care to know" isn't how the real world works. lol

Yes Camarda couldn't kick within the 20 his first 2 years.  He did this past year and eliminated touchbacks.  Players can improve.  Again you won't notice a difference.  But I have no doubt he will become your most hated Bill now.

It protects all children, even promiscuous ones.  It also helps the perp, as it did in this case.  I said those many times in those previous threads.

lol "most hated".  who cares?  I'm just debunking that this is an upgrade.  clearly it's not.   the money saved (what, a million?)---what's Beane going to do with that windfall....resign Zay Jones?

Clearly it doesn't.  And at least in her case shouldn't, because she was actually the perp and there was nothing about her suggesting she was 17.  Hell you've said that you can't tell the difference between a 15-year old and an 18-year old.  You think a 21-year old college kid can tell the difference between a 17 and an 18+ year old?

And to be clear, I'm talking only about what happened outside the house since what went on inside didn't involve Araiza at all.  And still hasn't led to any charges against his teammates because the evidence there also doesn't support her claim.  And again they were all over 18 and she was 17 and they weren't football stars.

And I never said "upgrade."  I said you won't notice a difference.

oh yeah?  what was she charged with?

It still hurts, doesn't it doc?

If nom different, why not just draft another Punter?  he will be cheaper than Camarda, can't be significantly worse at punting

Since you choose masochism, my final word will be to use your tactic and say that if Araiza had been your son, you'd be making the exact same arguments I and many others (including the DA) have.  At some point you'd think you'd admit what you initially believed, and what you still think, is wrong.

A drafted punter won't be any cheaper.  But if there's a promising prospect in the 6th (like Araiza was), sure, why not and let him compete.

my sons wouldn't (and didn't) make the poor choices Araiza did.   Anyway, I've already said he was free to use the mistake of age defense--which any perp is free to make.

rookie is cheaper because it's a 4 year deal

She literally made his case for him.  Araiza should have put her on the defense team payroll.  Coulda finally gotten some sort of payday after all...

he got $216K from the Bills for nothing.

Hey, he's a free agent next year!  He's a downgrade from Martin, but that won't matter---he's cheap!

I meant she could have...

No, that ship has sailed.  I said as much after the Bills cut him.

Just now, Mr. WEO said:

why wouldn't the Bills want him?

Because he won't be taking anywhere close to the minimum to play for them.

he just took less than that....

No he took league minimum with the Chiefs.  And it was clear in interviews after the case against him died that he wouldn't be returning to the Bills under any circumstances.

he took $795k (rookie minimum)--although he could have simply demanded more, as a free agent.
