He has been much better lately especially in pass blocking. Hope he has a dominant playoff run! It is extremely difficult to get named to the Pro Bowl in Buffalo. Case in point: This year the 3-14 Cleveland Browns had 3 pro bowlers this year compared to 13-4 Buffalo's 2 pro bowlers. I think he's very good and probably still has some untapped upside. If the current offensive line does not improve its pass blocking, Josh Allen is still getting sacked at a very low rate. 1 Quote
Bruffalo Posted Monday at 08:18 PM Posted Monday at 08:18 PM "I don't ever think about him, therefore he must be pretty good." is basically the rule when it comes to O-Line. I barely ever think about his play, so he's probably excellent. 1 1 Quote
Warcodered Posted Monday at 08:20 PM Posted Monday at 08:20 PM With how well Spencer Brown has been playing this year, Torrence has probably been a serious contributing factor to that, having a solid guy next to you makes everything easier. 3 2 Quote
eball Posted Monday at 08:22 PM Posted Monday at 08:22 PM I still think his name should be Cyrus O'Torrence. 1 3 Quote

Anderson reminds me of Conrad Dobler... just a nasty cuss... I love it. The thing that keeps Torrence starting at G is he's not really the type who has position flex. Anderson brings value with the jumbo packages and 3-position backup, you couldn't just swap those two guys as Torrence could not fill that #6 OL role. The old saw about "finding your best five" kind of doesn't work for the Bills because of the packages. 1 Quote

Or something else? Grable or SVPG could push for jobs on the inside. "Cybo" hasn't been exceptional, he could end up being the odd man out. I could see Grable at LG being prepped for LT work and maybe Edwards or McGovern moving to RG. Quote

Needs to bend better in the run game to really drive his guy back. Tends to get stood up a bit quickly. But you could put him out there tomorrow in a live game with Josh Allen behind him and be confident he isn't getting your QB hurt. His pass pro is really impressive and he moves so well. 3 Quote
Beast Posted Monday at 10:31 PM Posted Monday at 10:31 PM IMO, he’s the best o-lineman we have and that is saying a lot with the talent on that unit. Quote

I wonder if there will be some competition for the interior positions next summer. Bills don't have a lot of depth at some positions but OL is one they do. After watching Grable move again yesterday it might be hard to justify him being on the bench. I think "very replaceable" is a bit harsh. He is their weakest starter on offense and he still has too many inconsistencies in his game for me, but he isn't Cody Ford "replace him with a traffic cone" type bad. This season was odd. Slow start, then turned it round and had a real solid middle of the year and then he, more than anyone, seemed to half ass it once we were playing dead rubber games. I dunno. Motivation is something I question with him. Does he really have that dog in him? As I said the other day in the SVPG conversation I feel very strongly the Bills bring the same 5 back up front next year. But if Grable or Anderson or someone really makes a push his is the most vulnerable spot. I expect him to start in 2025 though. He is serviceable. 1 Quote

I like Grable but find myself wondering what his Career path and growth look like from here. He’s a rookie which brings a lot of excitement but he is also already 25, and I wonder if he is what he is at this point - which is really good depth / spot starter. I’m glad he is on the team and in the mix but I don’t see the need to shake up the starters on the o line to get him on the field this year or next. 1 Quote

The good thing is they'll be able to bring back the 9 OL they have on the roster as they're either under contract or ERFA's (Van Demark and Anderson). But I think they'll give Kromer the freedom to start who he wants. Quote
blacklabel Posted Monday at 11:37 PM Posted Monday at 11:37 PM I think he's been pretty solid. The OL overall has had a nice season. One of the things I recall from Jorsh's game clinching TD run against KC was Torrence absolutely crushing his block. Flattened the guy and Josh ran right past him. Quote
