Right now the Jets have an extremely wide net cast. They are basically requesting to speak to everyone including Brian Griese and Josh McCown.

One the one hand whoever is hired their fans have to be satisfied that an in depth search attempt was made. On the other hand, the net is cast so vastly and wide at least to me it seems like there is no real plan in place and they are hoping to stumble onto someone by accident.

100%. He has a great thing in Buffalo. Wait it out until a better spot opens up - it will happen.

The problem is, some coaches don't care about the "great thing they have" and winning championships. They want to be HCs and take crap jobs just to take it. I hope Brady doesn't do that but generally, I honestly don't think most coordinators care about how much success they have. They wanna coach

Good for Brady to be drawing attention. It's deserved, even if it is early timeline-wise for his career.

That being said, this is the philosophical issue with having a defensive headcoach when you have an elite game changing QB. Every 1-2 years we'll probably have another OC.

Will it matter? I don't know, I guess it really depends on Allen.  Even with Dorsey stinking up the place, he still looked elite.

If I was Brady I'd accept, then send a children's party entertainer dressed as a clown in my place

Kinda the opposite but this guy did bring a clown to his firing...

Man being fired brings emotional support clown to meeting

Auckland ad man Joshua Jack said he sensed the bad news when he received an email from his agency employer telling him they needed to have a meeting to discuss his role this week.

“It did talk about being able to bring a support person,” Jack said of the email in an interview with local radio station Magic Talk on Friday.

“I thought, it’s either a promotion or worse. I thought it was best to bring in a professional — so I paid $200 and hired a clown.”

...The clown mimed crying as Jack’s employers slid the redundancy paperwork across the table and created a balloon unicorn and poodle to lighten the mood.

They booked Vance Joseph and Brian Flores I believe.

Yeah but he’d be a dead man walking the moment he gets in the door. Not sure if you want to start your head coaching career that way.

And they already interviewed Ron Rivera

I would disrespectfully decline.

he should interview,  but if offered turn it down.

New Orleans is the team to seriously worry about stealing him.

That or the Jags... I could totally see them trying to get him to resurrect lawrences career... that would be something I think that would be enticing to him.

Totally agree - Should be a league-wide hold on all head coaching interviews until after the Super Bowl.  Wouldn't teams want to see how everyone does throughout the playoffs anyway?

the issue has been teams preparing for FA and the Draft. If you don't get your guy in house the moment the SB is done you have little chance of getting fully up to speed before the draft let alone FA which comes much earlier.

but I agree things need to be shiifted so top teams don't have coaches running around doing interviews in the middle of the playoffs

Joe is obviously a smart guy.  Can’t imagine him going to that dumpster fire.  He’ll get other interviews, hope he can just focus on this team right now.

Joe Brady is a smart guy that can give any team he goes an offensive play book and mind that will succeed in the NFL IMO. Drafting the future franchise QB and developing him may appeal to Brady. Hopefully the Pats don't get any bright ideas because they have their franchise QB in place already.

Yikes, we knew this was coming...

And just think, only a couple short years ago, Brady was run out of Carolina cause of his inept O schemes........so, i guess it all depends on where you land as to how you fit into each organization.

Brady has had an up and down career and has yet to make big money.  He was never a head coach in college, and his first OC job (co-OC, actually) ended badly and quickly.  He came to Buffalo as the quarterback coach, I think.  It would be silly for him to turn down a four-year $20 million contract from anyone, including the Jets. I’m not sure what Brady makes currently, but it’s definitely not in that neighborhood.  If anything were to happen to Josh Allen, his chance of becoming an NFL head coach would be nonexistent.

Sean Payton is a very talented Offensive guru to coach under IMO. ( scary game coming up peeps ) Now serving under McD,so two very successful HC coaches in the NFL, Gurus on both sides of the football. Joe Brady likes to run the football. Distributes the ball out very well to all the play makers. It takes the right players to succeed. A complimentary football team on both sides of the football. Inept is what I would call Ken Dorsey.

Luckily McBeane  thought differently,  Brady fit the bills ;  )
