Just Jack Posted January 6 Posted January 6 How did your actions yesterday cause the Bills to lose? Something you ate? Did you change your shirt at halftime? Did you drink to much at a New Years Eve party and make a fool of yourself? I’ll start… I debated whether to make this thread, because I was sure it would not matter, the Bills were going to rest starters, and the Pats were going to try to lose. But I think the blame can be placed on an anonymous fan I encountered earlier this week. Going to lunch with a co-worker, as we were entering a restaurant, a guy held the door open for us. Noticing he had a Bills hat on, instead of saying "Thank you" I said "Go Bills". He laughed. So, I'm blaming you, mister hold the door and don't know the universal Bills fan greeting. It's your fault the Bills lost. Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I wasn't focused. Visions of other teams' coaching changes were dancing in my head. And, I checked the score more than twice during the game. Quote
Sweats Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I was watching the game, the same way the Bills were playing........halfheartedly, with very little interest in the outcome Quote
Simon Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I didn't see hardly any of it due to streaming issues, but I was rooting for the Pats anyways. Mission accomplished 👍 Quote
PonyBoy Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Didn't want to waste an Elephino Double IPA on a meaningless game 🍺 1 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I watched red zone while the bills were playing. I have not done that this year. I would say I’m sorry but it resulted in the patriots not getting the #1 pick Quote
JP51 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Cause I threw superstitions out the window cause I didnt care and wanted to see if they were real... they clearly let me know that they were legit and needed to continue... Note to self... Dont pulse check superstitions... just sayin... Quote
The Jokeman Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I wasn't feeling well and stopped watching the game after the Patriots took a 14-7 lead. Quote

Aesop Posted January 6 Posted January 6 The reason the pats won was because I didnt watch the game. I didnt watch the game because my wife gave birth to our first son over the weekend. Like others have said though, I am glad the pats won and lost the 1st overall pick and that the Bills got some rest. 4 Quote

Aesop Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Just now, Captain Hindsight said: Congrats on the newest member of the Mafia! Thank you! Yes, much like I was, he is born into it. I was born in 91 so I missed/dont remember the golden years of the 90s. Hopefully Josh Allen is still slinging the rock for the red, white and blue when he is old enough to understand the game. Quote
JÂy RÛßeÒ Posted January 6 Posted January 6 (edited) Wore an unsanctioned pair of generic "football" socks my daughter got for me for Christmas a couple of years ago. A grey version of this: I did send her a pic of me wearing them so that she knows they got used. They'll be donated to the needy after I wash 'em... Edited January 6 by JÂy RÛßeÒ Quote

Please note, to avoid this in the future, you'll need to keep the baby making to July through November, to avoid any births from September to February. 1 Quote
SinceThe70s Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I purposely did not wear my Squirrel Winters t-shirt or go to a supermarket pre-game. The loss clearly confirms my past karmic contributions to Bills wins - what's unclear is whether it was the shirt or the shopping. Stay tuned. Quote
gflande1 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Every game I make a Detroit style pizza with pineapple (happy wife) and bake garlic parm wings with blue cheese. Yesterday I ordered a pizza and wings from a place that’s supposed to be really good. Not only was the food cold, the Bills lost. I have learned my lesson Quote
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I wore a brand new Bills shirt I got for Christmas. It's the only long sleeve one I had, figured this was a game that didn't mean much so I'd try it out. Don't worry though, no plans to wear it for the post season Quote
hondo in seattle Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I normally gear up before a game which I did. No problem there. I normally cook wings which I didn't until after the game. Oops. And I normally watch every single play. Walking the dog, other household chores, conversation, peeing, pooping... None of that can happen when a play is being run. It's bad juju - but yesterday I missed some plays because it felt like a preseason game. My fault. Quote
