Well one thing is 100% confirmed.  He's slow as hell. He gets zero separation. I'm still pissed at him for adding 1 int and deducting 1 td from Josh's ledger. He's athletic enough to be decent on the jump ball stuff but he better expand his route tree.  Maybe we can have him run crossing "gauntlet" routes all day?  Brian Thomas Jr would've looked real good in a Bills uniform. Keon gets another year to show improvement but his flaws so far are obvious.

What is it about Bills fans that they have to always have something to complain about, always have to single out one player to attack?

what he does in the playoffs will determine his value this season, same with the rest of the team.

if he can make the hard high point catches, or turn slants into big gainers, it will make life hell for opposing defenses.

Keon doesn’t separate enough to be a #1  or 2 WR. He is a very good 3rd and 4th option tho. Especially when you can match him up on smaller DB’s. The role that he plays for us is perfect. Especially when teams plan to stop Amari, Shakir and Kincaid

Its a chemistry thing, a “not get hurt”, thing, and a very vanilla offense we ran again. My worthless take 🤣

I'll take it,

Allen and Coleman have developed good chemistry. Myself personally, Keon Coleman will excel better in the short to intermediate pass range and has a skill set much like a Stevie Johnson. Allens mid range cannon shots on a rope put the ball up their higher where only Keon can reach them.

My two cents...

What the hell is your point here?  Do you want to list every single promising player who was not available when the Bills drafted and pine after them, too?

It's not like we could have worked a simple trade of a 4th and swap up 2 slots last year to draft Thomas.   He was drafted 6 slots before us and we didn't have a 3rd round pick going into the draft.

And in case you didn't notice, the Jags finished 4-13 with the #26 rated offense on points; the Bills finished #2; #9 for passing yards vs the Jags #24.  They started the year with Christian Kirk and Gabe Davis ahead of Thomas as WR, and both of them were injured by November; Devin Duvernay spent October and early Nov on IR.  Thomas put up the numbers he did because he was competing for targets with Parker Washington (6th round) and Tim Jones (who?) and he was getting Fed.

Thomas was the best WR on a bad team who just fired their head coach.

C'mon Man.  If you want to pine, Go Big.

Pine after Justin Jefferson who was actually drafted with the pick the Bills traded away to get Diggs.  Or maybe pine after Amon-Ra St Brown who was drafted in the 4th; maybe Beane could have drafted him in the 2nd round instead of doubling down at DE and taking Boogie Basham - St Brown was forecast by pundits to go in the 2nd or 3rd.

Toss in Puka Nacua if you want to.

Our safety play is terrible how come no one talks about that

I can't imagine why nobody is talking about the safety position in a thread about a wide receiver.

There are multiple threads on the front page about the defense and specifically the safety position; it's not the first time you've posted something like this when it was clear you didn't even look at the forum first. <_<

He needs to make a huge leap between year 1 and 2.  Right now his ceiling looks like a number 3 type of receiver.  As it stands now, the Bills absolutely need to continue to address the top end of the WR room this offseason.

It's possible.  But I think it's also possible that Keon will buckle down in the off season and take a big step.

You see, i'm not the only one who didn't get the memo or didn't understand the assignment.

I sound like a broken record, but in my opinion the Bills offense was on fire when Coleman and Kincaid were out hurt.  I say make Coleman WR4 or 5 in the playoffs.  This week the Broncos will play a lot of man to man, which I hope means lots of isolating Cooper on the non-Surtain CB and a bunch of RB targets.

These are all valid points. Obviously as @Beck Water said, he is used to Josh's velocity & timing. Going from 17 to Trubisky/White is a huge drop off.  Hopefully he amps it up in the playoffs because we're going to need him.  On a side note, Keon leads all rookie wrs with a 19.3 yds/ reception avg.  When he does get one, it's a chunk play.

I thought one of his strengths was the contested catch balls, yet there were two throws yesterday, where he didn’t seem to use his strength or size to fight for the ball. He has a long way to go.

Good kid, but he's going to really need to work on his game, if it's even possible, to make a big jump and be that dude.  I also don't think he fits well outside, he does well after catch, put him in the slot.  Outside he's trying to release like he's playing basketball, that doesn't work as well from my point of view, works better in the slot where WRs have more two way goes.

He is closer to #2 WR (his stats prior to injury were pacing for 800 yard 50 rec 6 TDs #GabeDavis!) but I still see your point and agree. Even if they resign Cooper who is older anyway Coleman elevating to a role he can be a #1 when called on is big on what moves they do long term for WR or not.

That was yesterday. The game no one played in and we were trying to preserve health.

He's done it numerous times throughout the year tho.

My issue with him is he wants to be a jump ball receiver but doesn't fight for the ball. At least 3 passes yesterday could have been DPI if he would push his way back to the ball.

I just don't think this kid is going to amount to much. Little too much Gabe Davis in there.
