BearNorth Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Why does everyone say he's a small linebacker. He was 240 at his pro day, listed at 232 on the Roster. That's pretty close to the average size for the top linebackers. 1 1 Quote

zow2 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 He did ok. I noticed him on a few plays, and then other plays he would get taken out by a lineman and couldn't get involved. Quote

Charles Romes Posted January 6 Posted January 6 He’s an upgrade if he doesn’t sustain an injury every other time he sees the field. 1 Quote

The Jokeman Posted January 6 Posted January 6 He looked small and remember seeing him miss a tackle on Gibson early on. That said I wasn't focused on him exclusively but noticed it on that one play. Quote
K D Posted January 6 Posted January 6 If you ask Bills fans he looked like the next Brian Urlacher of course. In reality he's about the size of one of Urlacher's legs Quote
TheFunPolice Posted January 6 Posted January 6 One thing you have to give this staff credit for: they can find and coach LBers and DBs seemingly everywhere Very rarely does a LB or DB come in, spend serious time here, and not develop into a player. Quote

Exhibit 1 - Levi Wallace - who unfortunately for us, just got waived by the Bronco's on Christmas Eve. Quote

If we ever slide to a more traditional 4-3, I could easily see Bernard, Andreesen and Williams being the starters. No he isn’t. He’s a depth guy….Milano’s replacement is getting ready for the combine. 1 Quote

No staff is perfect, but it seems like every time a guy goes down with injury the next guy is able to play, until we had to resort to calling retired guys back from their vacation. I was pleasantly surprised by Andreesen's play, and hopefully he grows into a long-term role on the team! Quote
US Egg Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I’ll leave the prognostication to the experts, but no doubt a very special moment for him and his family, a day they’ll always cherish. It’s something many college athletes dream of and very few ever experience. Again, Congrats to Joe. 1 1 Quote
JP51 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 I noticed a pass breakup and a tackle BLS other than that not noteworthy, which is not a bad thing really... probably good to get him some reps in a realish game... Quote
JESSEFEFFER Posted January 6 Posted January 6 One play of note, he had a chance to get a scrambling Milton in the open field short of a first down and gave him a glancing blow that allowed him another 6 yards or so before he went down. But, Milton has a very Josh Allen like athletic profile and we know that Josh usually beats the LB in that situation too. Quote

Agreed, i thought solomon was impressive agains the run yesterday too, which was i think the knock on him when he was drafted. Granted I didn't focus on him every play so he may have had some blunders I didn't see. Interested to see how he comes along next season for sure. Quote
Dillenger4 Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Joe vs backups. Not much to see. In fact, I agree with the majority here... didn't notice him. And I watched him specifically. He looks a tad slow/late to the ball is my takeaway. Maybe that's why he is a mediocre player vs backups. Time will tell. Quote
